Dundalk, MD Shoebox Swap, August 4th 2012 at the Dundalk Moose Lodge
I am hostessing my first large shoebox swap, from 9am to 3:30pm at: (please read the entire description)
Dundalk Moose Lodge
2800 Sollers Point Rd.
Dundalk, MD 21222
Please stay for the entire swap, until 4:30pm, to ensure that everyone has completed their swaps. The swap will be held in their UPSTAIRS Hall. You will have a flight of steps to walk up.
THEME:
Stampin' Up! current or retired stamp sets. No specific theme. Good quality card stock, such as Stampin' Up! is required. Embellishments can be by others.
SWAP:
There is room for 25 people (over 18 years of age please) to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person for hall rental and other expenses, which will be collected before the day of the swap.
All monies need to be in by Friday, July 13, 2012. If money is not received by this time, the waiting list will be opened up. This is open to everyone, not just SCS stampers. If you do have an SCS id, please advise what it is.
All cards are to be full cards, standard size A2. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card, and also have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
** PLEASE BRIND YOUR OWN DIMENSIONSALS/POP DOTS. This way, if a project requires pop dots, you have them.
FOOD:
We are asking that everyone bring a dish; lunch items, beverages/ice, plates/napkins, cups/plastic ware, snacks, desserts, salad and breakfast items. We do not have access to a kitchen. If you are bringing a crockpot, please bring an outlet strip. We need 2 of them.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. For every 2 additional cards, donated to the Moose Lodge, as you enter the swap, you will be given an extra door prize ticket. They prefer "manly" cards in any theme.
They are going to open the kitchen at 4pm if anyone is interested in staying for dinner. They are also going to be having live music starting at 8pm, it is a country band. There is no fee to attend the live music for those attending the swap. The bar and kitchen will be available for purchases.
Summarizing;
1) Swap on August 4th 2012
2) Bring your shoebox to contain all materials to remake your card, enough for 25 people
3) Bring a dish to share with everyone
4) $10 non-refundable fee
5) Have fun!

Stampers - I have the hall for another hour, so that will be 4:30 that it will end. We will have to be out of there by 5pm, no later. But with 25 stampers, that should give us plenty of time, and hopefully elevate some stress. (YEAH RIGHT!!).
