July 28th from 9am to 4pm. Cost will be $20 and will include lunch, snacks and drinks.
It will be at the Urbana, IL Civic Center.

I live in Danville, but go to Champaign Urbana often. Where are you located? Maybe we can get something started!

I'm in Tolono. Just outside of Champaign by about 10 miles. I keep thinking surely someone is trying to plan one!

Hmmm...my sister-in-law's neighbor (Urbana) showed signed-up as a SU demo. Maybe she can work with us to get one going. I got hooked on this stuff when I met a demo from Mahomet (or Monticello...another Kim)

When would you like to do this? I know I couldn't do it before mid-June...but gosh I'd love to get one going!

You can get an idea if you look at any of the listings for a shoebox swap. Basically you design a card, make instructions, cut all pieces and bring everything to make that card for however many people are attending. We all go around to the different cards and make them all! It is loads of fun and very addicting!

How many people would come (translated, how many cards to we need to prep for?) Does the cost cover the cards and rental of the location, food etc? I s'pose those are details you are looking into.

None of us has ever done this...we think it sounds like a blast!

FAB! Definitely the more the merrier!! We are trying to hold the total number down to about 25 people - 30 at the *very* most. We're probably going to request that the cards take no more than 10 minutes to create. That way we can get everyone's great projects done in the allotted time. And, yes, the registration fee will cover everything! Food, room, prizes, everything!
It will be soooooo much fun!!!!!!!!
