April 16 Shoebox Swap in Bel Air, MD (Harford County)
We (Andrea & Lisa) are hosting another shoebox swap on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., at: (please read the entire description)
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd
1515 Emmorton Road
Bel Air, MD 21014
THEME:
There is no theme this time and we do require that all products must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
SWAP:
There is room for 31 people (over 18 years of age please) to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $12 non-refundable charge per person for hall rental, expenses, and pizza which will be collected before the day of the swap. All monies need to be in by Friday, April 8, 2011. If money is not received by this time, the waiting list will be opened up. Everyone who signs up must have a SCS ID to make this fair for everyone attending. If we happen to get more people to sign up then 30, we may have two groups, will keep you informed.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card, and also have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
LUNCH:
We will be ordering Pizza for lunch (the extra $2) and it would be appreciated if you could sign up to bring beverages, plates, napkins, desserts, salad and breakfast items. We do not have access to a kitchen.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. And we are asking for card donations which will be used for our local hospital. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap.
HELP PLEASE:
My daughter is working on her Silver Project for Girl Scouts. They have decided to make cards for our local hospital. They will have a station at the swap and will be making/transforming cards of their own during the day. They would appreciate it if you could stop by their table a make a few cards with them or donate cards or card fronts to them to help make their goal of 1000 cards. There theme is get well or thinking of you.
WHAT YOU NEED:
To sum up what youll need to bring for the shoebox swap: something to share for lunch/breakfast, and cards for the local hospital if you'd like to donate any. I am attaching a registration form that should be sent to me along with the $12 non-refundable charge.
Looking forward to swap. Please sign me up along with my niece Brittany (I will get her to respond sometime tonight or tomorrow to post). Will bring snack for breakfast.

Please sign Kim Bowen up for this swap. Her SCS name is kimrn96. She's having problems logging on to SCS since she had a email change and can't remember her password. She can bring regular soda if that's ok. If you already have that, or would like something else, please contact me and I'll let her know. Thanks!!
Wow, this filled up fast. I would like to participate also. Let me know if someone can't make it and I'll be ready to fill in.
Thanks,
Bev Farmer
