3rd annual - New Jersey & Surrounding States Shoebox Swap 10/08/2011
NJ, NY, PA, CT and surrounding areas Shoebox Swap
Saturday, October 8th, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
First Congregational Church
40 South Fullerton Ave.
Montclair NJ 07042
Parking: limited parking at the church additional Parking TBA
Cost: $20, $21 through paypal What is a shoebox swap?
- Design a card that can be completed in about 10 minutes.
- Complete 3 cards (one as a sample for your shoebox & 2 for the hostesses, Michele & Cammy (SCS: cammystamps)).
- make a "kit" for each person, which contains all the supplies to assemble your card, in your shoebox.
- Please label all your supplies.
- ALL EMBOSSING AND DIE-CUTTING MUST BE PRE-PREPARED.
On the outside of your shoebox:
put your name & the name of your project.
In your shoebox put:
- your original card sample
- your �kits� = all the supplies (pre-cut and pre-punched) needed for making your project for each participant
- extras for mistakes (of which I commit daily when stamping)
- stamps,
- ink,
- written/printed instructions for your card in your shoe box and
- anything else that is needed to complete your card.
Bring as many kits as we need for participants to complete your card. THIS WILL BE ANNOUNCED CLOSER TO THE SBS.
***Participation in the SBS swap is required.***
***Participation in the other swaps is optional.***
Separate from your shoebox:
- Please bring your completed swaps if you signed up for them below.
- your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs,
- adhesive (lots of it)
- bone folder
- paper cutter/scorer
- glue dots
- scissors
- stamp cleaner and
- whatever else you can't stamp without!
Don't forget your camera!
Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name.
There may be a nametag contest so keep that in mind when you�re creating yours.
Please sign up to bring a food item or beverage.
We will supply paper plates, napkins & utensils.
Registration and payment must be made by September 16th, if there is a waitlist, you will be replaced if payment is not received.

Card Front Swap (*** If possible make the cardfront 1/4" or 1/2" smaller than a regular 4.25 x 5.5" card, this way it makes for easy layering.)Final Count: 10

FAQ's:
1. "The 6X6 recipe card is it a food recipe we put on the card or do we leave lines so you can put your own recipe?" As for the Recipe swaps you type up your favorite recipe and put it on a 6x6 card and decorate it as you would a card. Here are examples

I hope a wonderful weekend is being had by all! Finally sun and warm weather is here and the next few months will fly by and we will crafting in NJ.
I would like to sign up for this event please. I would like to participate in the card front, 3X3 gift tag, and the 6X6 recipe card (I've never done this before is it a food recipe we put on the card or do we leave lines so you can put your own recipe more instruction on this swap would be appreciated). As far as a food contirbution Michele or Cammy let me know what you'd like me to bring. I can do a lunch item.........chile (would be good for the potato bar, or a tray of ziti or to change it up I can bring my coffee cake(large cake great for serving many) which could be eatean as a breakfast items or dessert later in the day. Just let me know or just put me down for what you think is best and I will just be sure to bring what you decided on. I will mail my registration form soon.
