Hi all! I just picked up a copy of Papercraft's Go To Sketches yesterday at Borders and really love it! The colors are so fresh and the designs just appeal to me - really think the contributors knocked it out of the ballpark on this one!
I had this crazy notion of challenging myself to actually make a card from each sketch shown and creating a section in my gallery for them. I tend to pick magazines up, go through them, then put them on my shelf. Then later I sit and wonder what to create!
Anyways - has anybody else picked up a copy? Are you loving it? If you've designed a card from it, I'd love to see it!
(Oh - and if there's already a thread on this, I apologize and you can delete. I searched first and didn't see anything - but I'd love a link to it!)
Mitzi, that is a neat idea about the sketches. Did you know that there is a sketch challenge going on at the Paper Crafts Connection Blog? You should check it out!
I love how the magazine has each Go-To gal give an introduction and then you can see her sketches. Its a neat concept and great magazine to have for inspiration!
I'm so glad you're enjoying this issue!! We all had an absolute blast working on it and we hope it's an inspiring resource for cardmakers! Keep an eye on the Moxie Fab and Paper Crafts Connection blogs...we're going to be celebrating the entire week of April 5-9 to kick off the release of this issue...lots of blog hops and giveaways...it's gonna be fun. :-D
If you're on Facebook, you might also want to become a fan of Paper Crafts and Moxie Fab World...it's an easy way to keep up-to-date on all the happenings on their site.

OMG I only got halfway through it yesterday and I bookmarked practically everything! What a terrific resource...gourgeous cards and pics.....this may be the BEST/MOST USEFUL magazine I have ever bought!!!!! (and I buy them ALL!)
Just wanted to add my endorsement of this issue. I am not usually a purchaser of hard copy magazines like this but I saw so many nice things on several blogs I went and hunted it down. I found many copies at my Michaels if you are looking. Anyway, I was thinking a similar idea of doing a sketch a week or something. I've already picked out the first one I want to try. I'll try to actually get it in my gallery for a change. Maybe we can all post here if we do one.
I'm actually working through the book, doing at least one card with each and every sketch in the book, in order. I'm posting them here in the gallery and on my blog. I'm having a blast and it's getting me outside my comfort zone at times. I'm on page 52, which is the star card. That's a tough one for me as I don't usually make shaped cards, but I'll get it done soon.
LOVE this book.

Yes, I agree. Go To Sketches is terrific! I've posted a couple of cards on my blog that I've made using sketches from it, and will definitely be making more!
I picked up my copy about two weeks ago and love it! It reminds me of the two Joy of Card Making magazines from a few years back, my issues of those are so dogeared I'm glad to have something new
I love the To Go Sketches also. The colors and designs are great. I saw this at the grocery store and just "had to have it, now". I have done a coule cards using various sketches in it already.
I found mine awhile back at JoAnns and was able to use a 50% coupon for it. I love it. I think it's a great resource and one of the few reference magazines I keep near my stamping stash instead of filed away with my magazines. Of course, I love the work of most of the designers who were featured - look at their blogs regularly, so I would love the work they did for the magazine, too.
YEAH! I am so happy that you guys are enjoying it! Betsy is right...we had a BLAST working on it!
I would love to see what you do with the star sketch, Erin! Be sure to link it up!
haha, still waiting for inspiration on that one. I peeked and the next one is shapped too! (OHmyheck I just realized both of those are YOUR sketches... um.. they are GREAT, just hard for me! haha)
