Edited to add: It looks like a week is not long enough with everyone being so busy this time of year. So, please continue to use the keyword EyeletWeek when you upload any eyelet cards this year.
Also, if you have any suggestions for older embellishments we could spotlight in January, please comment below. Thanks
Kazeka and I decided we should have an Eyelet Week starting Dec 1st during a discussion on old embellishments in the following thread...
So, please join us and use the keyword EyeletWeek when uploading to your gallery. I already have an idea for using some small flower eyelets. I’m heading to my crafting spot now to see if my idea actually works.

My eyelets are all sitting there , color coded and ready to go! I use regular, round eyelets often but those shaped ones are always forgotten. Looks like I'd better dig around for my flower eyelets and see what I can put together.
Glad you remembered this Pam, because I didn't even realize it was December 1, much less remember eyelet week, ha!

I put a reminder in my calendar otherwise, I would have forgotten, too! I just uploaded two simple cards. Hoping to do more later, but right now my fingers are stiff from being out in the cold.
Question is it a cretin type card with eyelets? Or what do we just make cards with eyelets? Thanks, Linda
You can make whatever you’d like with the eyelets! I recently took apart a necklace a preschooler made for me using eyelets years ago. That was before the conversation on having Eyelet Week, otherwise I would have taken a picture and posted it
I’d say you have a better chance of making that happen then I would. I think a blog post and a card or two in your gallery here could start the comeback.
I asked Dr Sonja about this a few minute ago. but, have seen her around today!

Whew, I finally managed to make a couple of cards that use eyelets, and upload them. While in the gallery, I was just thrilled by the creative ways that Pam and Sonja used these often-forgotten embellishments. It's been a great motivation to dust off my Cropadile and pull out my containers of eyelets. Lots of ideas to try later on.
I didn't want to let the week go past so I made a card this evening which I will photograph and upload tomorrow. At the moment DH and I are looking at it trying to decide what to add. It's ok, the right thing would be absolutely right and give it a little extra oomph, but anything else will spoil it. At the moment it's extremely CAS.

How lovely that your DH is chiming in as well on your card design. I know the feeling though, about being afraid to add a bit too much and spoiling the design. Always better to let it sit overnight and then take another look the next day. Sometimes you just decide to leave it as-is.
I have that problem with shaped eyelets, which is why I almost never use them. They always seem to be just a little bit too much! That's why I forced myself to use them this time around.
Ugh!!! My husband set up our new computer except for the photo editing software that I use. I caught him just before he left and got a CD drive to use to install it. Started the process and part way thru, it tells me that it can’t be installed due to blah, blah, blah (I took a picture of the screen cause I don’t speak computer). So, now I’m unable to scan any cards or edit any photos I take with my phone. My husband will be gone for hours, so I’m stuck. All that to say, my contributions to EyeletWeek are officially on hold. I hope others will continue to upload.

Is your new computer running Windows 10? If so, it is probably being a bit pickier than it used to be. The latest upgrade is always flagging something on my computer and we still use it. Good luck with your new computer.

I think this is a great idea! So glad you are bringing up our older supplies! I don't really follow trends, so I hold onto lots of my stuff. This sounds fun! I hope I get a chance to play!

Yes, I hope you join in too, as this isn't a time-limited challenge at all. If you have eyelets, and you want to use them...then just tag it EyeletWeek and show it off! I'm kind of on a mini-roll right now and added eyelets to two cards last night. Just have to upload. It might be past Eyelet Week, but that doesn't mean we have to forget the eyelets again.
I agree - let’s keep this going! Especially since I haven’t put a dent in my eyelet supply. I had another idea pop in to my head late last night. I’m hoping to try it out later today. I have a couple of things I need to do first. So, this is it - no more online procrastinating! I’m off to start my to-do this!
Junk Journalers use eyelets all the time for the journals and for embellishments. I even had to order some basic metallics because I was out. Now it looks like I'll be buying/ordering a new Crop-A-Dile because my current one keeps jamming up. So if card makers are looking for inspiration and ways to use you might want to check out some junk journal photos and blogs.
I am just loving all the eyelet projects in the gallery. It's taking me from out-of-date to fashionable...in just one leap! What old, is new again etc. etc....yes!
I am so glad that you promoted this over on the Challenge Chat page! I hope you will do so next month as well! Sometimes challenges get missed so it's a great thread to promote challenges!
I took a look at the gallery and it's so cute! I need to find my eyelet maker!
