It's funny - I've had the bird stamps in and out of my cart about 6 times. They are so cute but I'm trying to figure out how I would actually use them. Cleaning out my craft room is making me evaluate all new purchases.

I foresaw this question coming up, and ordered Bird Crazy last week. They were in my box today; and this was all Lydia's fault. I had no idea these crazy birds existed until I saw a post by Lydia on the MISTIfied FB forum.
Heh. Guilty as charged! I got those this week too (I was borrowing them from a friend when I posted that) so my $25 would go for Altenew Vintage Roses. Can you throw in that new mermaid color of distress ink for me Joan? (Bats eyelashes)
Hmmm...there is still so much I need, since I'm so new at this...but I'd say maybe a heat gun, cause I really want to be able to emboss...and that's a start in that direction. Stamps or dies would be tempting...but...I think I'll go with a heat gun. :-)

That's my problem. I totally adore them, and I have always said you can never have too many birds (or snowmen). They remind me somewhat of the original Alice illustrations. But, and it's a big but, I can't imagine using them, they're way out of my style. I do use the Scribbly Birds, would use them even more if they were smaller. So the crazy birds are something I'd love as a gift but wouldn't buy out of my own stamping budget, not even with Joan's hypothetical $25 bonanza.

get the heat gun, embossing powder, and an embossing buddy (little packet of cornstarch ??) that prevents the powder from sticking where you do not want it to stick. Embossing is magical!!

You ladies in the US are so lucky. $25 would buy you something but our supplies here in Australia are so expensive. If I could have free shipping from the US I would have to spend WAY more than $25 though
I've had the birds since they came out as I did a pre-order - love them!
Hmm... I don't have a wish list but I'm going to a stamp convention on Saturday and I'll be looking for dies that are suitable to make stencils and foam stamps for mixed media. I like that ability to have multiple options to use a product.
Dapperdoxie - definitely get the Milwaukee heat gun. It's on Amazon. Worth the price. The cheap ones don't hold up over time. The embossing powders are cheap.
I actually just played this game (except it was more than $25 and the shipping was NOT free) and got 3 spools of baker's twine (only $8 each! and 240 yards!) to finish out my color collection and a HUGE PILE of patterned washi tape rolls (for only $1.34 each for 10 yards!) from papermart.com. Have you guys ever shopped there? They sell other stuff for packaging gifts and boxes but I found they have items for scrapbookers/card makers usually WAY cheaper than say, The Twinery or other dedicated craft stores.
I don't work for them at all. Just a customer passing along a hidden gem for us hoarders. =)
I'd spend it in the forums, on some older Stampin Up sets. There are still so many sets, just from SU, that I have on my wish list......but the critter stamps from Penny Black also have stolen my heart!
I would buy Coordinations Kraft Core Metallics paper pad. I don't think it is available yet but I saw a youtube from CHA. I did order a scoring pen for my new Cricut Explore. I am learning to design on on iPad and needed it to cut out a purse box. I am using my CTMH Artiste cartridge for my card making club.
Well I had been looking for those new Thinlits Mixed-Media dies by Tim Holtz and found the whole list of everything he introduced at CHA  I basically want everything, but would probably spend my first $25 on those dies, or maybe his new Scribble dies. So cool!
Art Impressions just brought out a Window Die to go with their window stamps, I think I "need" that! ha ha ..and another window stamp too, as I like making square cards. But those crazy birds are pretty darn cute too.. Waaa where does it all end?!

Fyi dapper doxie. There is a thread somewhere on this forum on ways to save money and what tools to spend money on. I wish I had read it when starting out, even though I am new to this. For example the Tim holtz ranger craft sheet. Super expensive. Bought set from Amazon - 3 for $15 compared to his 1 for $15
Copperkids is right - there are often less "spendy" alternatives to a lot of the crafty tools out there. If anyone is ever looking for an alternative and doesn't want to wade through pages of posts, you can always just ask - someone is bound to know if there's anything that would be a suitable substitute. One of the many reasons I/we love these forums...
My Birds are flying my way as we speak - I'm so excited...!
Ohhh, thanks! I'll have to go look around and try to find that thread, cause if I am always thrilled to find ways to save money since we don't have lots of extra money to play with usually. LOL
Oh you are BAD, lol!!! Didn't know Reverse Confetti was making those quick card panels, I would love something like this ready made to slap on my cards.
For me I would have to spend my 25.00 at Wplus9, there are several stamp sets I want from them (those ELEPHANTS!), and I recently bought their Storybook collection of ink pads and LOVE LOVE LOVE them and want more of their inks asap!
I already got bird crazy from seeing it over on OWH from a CHA vid...Apparently Sandy Allnock went nuts for them too and stalked till she was able to just play with a set and then freaked out TH because he didnt believe she had done it with just Copics. This is that link:
Read the comments inbetween visuals. Pretty funny.
That and the I'm Wheelie for you out of Lawn Fawn were the two things I wanted from all the CHA vids I watched. Which I got already-b/c Lawn Fawn is price friendly
OMgoodness...I dont know what I would do...my wishlist is like 16 pages long! I guess the longest parts are over at IO and Northwoods so maybe some stamps there...although there is a bookmark die I want from Taylored Expressions a lot and I am waiting on sale for....
