Is it wrong...?

Is it wrong to sign up as a demo just to get the deal on the products?

I've been on the fence for a while. I used to be a CTMH demo but couldn't make the minimums. I want to sign up but don't know if I can make the minimums. But now I'm not sure if I even care, the new deal is an extra $160 CDN of stuff meaning that you now get $557 for $275 CDN ($685 for $338 with taxes and shipping). Seems like a no brainer even if I can't make the minimums :)

Also does anyone know what the new demo set is to replace Shape Ups? My demo is on vacation so I can't ask her.

It isn't wrong. People sign up all the time just for this reason.

I can't help you with the Shape Ups question; I'm not sure. :)

I was a hobby demo for a long time, and once I was well stocked I dropped my demo status. I may sign up again in the future, which is allowed, the stater kit is a great deal and the discount really helps! It is fun to be a hobby demo, and on SCS you get to access the demo side of the board to get the heads up on everything going on behind the scenes of Stampin UP.

The suggested set is Itty Bitty Backgrounds, but you can substitute ANY set for another that is either the same or lower in price. (you cannot go higher though, so you CANNOT substitute a $29.95 and an $11.95 for the $28.95 and $12.95 sets even though it adds to the same price)

If you don't make the minimums after the first FULL quarter, you will go into pending for one month, and then will be dropped. You are not required to do any more sales after your kit if you do not want to, but it's gonna be hard resisting all the great SU! stuff when you get the demo discount!

It's not wrong -

If you are signing with CTMH they have changed their Je. consultant program so that it is only $100 US (sorry don't know the canadian amount) a year

Dang _ I meant Jr. Consultant

Argghh!!! Where's the edit button

Nothing wrong with this at all. Just be sure to be up front with your upline so she knows how to support you. I have had several dowline sign up for this same reason and some have thrived beyond what they expected while others say in just to get the kit and never place an order.

Either way you still get a great deal!

Nothing wrong at all. If you're talking about SU!, it's a great deal on product, PLUS you get 30% your first order and 20% after that.

With the added bonus of the special SU! is running right now, definitely go for it :-)

nope! I'm a nobby demo..I have like 1 or 2 friends that buy from me, but if they stopped and I couldn't keep up, I would just drop.

Adrian 08-14-2006 09:28 AM

No way is it wrong! If it’s what you really want to do - sign up and enjoy the benefits. Who knows what could happen. You could start to mention it to a group of friends that stamp and you guys could start a hostess rotation group and that would more than cover your minimums.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do~

Thanks

Thanks, you gals sure are encouraging! I'm going to do it! I might be able to support myself for a couple of months (I'm going to stock up) and see what happens.

So now I just have to choose my stuff..... another difficult decision.

Just another thought, if you sign up with SU tomorrow to get the incentives, you don't have to meet any minimums until next quarter, which ends December 31.
