Workshop Help

I am a new SU demo, I signed up in Aug (late) and have had 2 workshops cancel. I have a Stamp Camp scheduled for 11/12. I sent out flyers, even emailed a reminder to RSVP by YESTERDAY so I could do a supply order-NOBODY has responded save for 2 no's. I don't know what to do as I think I am past my 45 days for the discount on the 1st order, I can't afford to be my own best customer even tho I'd love to be, and I just don't know enough of my neighbors-I invited all the Bunco gals too! I'm so sad....I don't want to go into pending and I so want to be a demo. Any suggestions? I can't believe it's this difficult..... I'm running out of time tick tock tick tock :(

First-- I highly recommend you join the demo-only part of SCS-- instructions are at http://forums.splitcoaststampers.com...ad.php?t=62533 -- there is so much information there to help you out!

But to help with your current dilemma, I encourage you to call all those you invited! I have done that in the past and had very good response. Many people just forget to respond! Just ask, "did you get my invitation? do you think you'd be able to attend?" If they can't attend, ask "Would you like to have a class [really a workshop] in your own home with all your friends?"

I hope this helps!

I am really new to this in fact I just signed up a couple days ago, but I have to tell you I didn't know until the day before the workshop what even happened at a workshop. Maybe the people you invited are like me and need a phone call to get excited. just tell them what will happen and get them pumped and if they are anything like me you will have a great stamp camp! My first order was huge, I couldn't order enough! Good Luck!

Thanks! I did call a few people, had to leave messages. Everyone knows I'm a stamper/scrapbooker etc that's why it's kind of sad! I even mentioned making something that even the "un-crafty" can enjoy. Still..........I always support my friends and their kids w/fund raising you'd think they could humor me just once. That's all it takes to get them hooked!!! I will check out the SU demo area as well. Again, thanks I will keep my fingers crossed.

do you have an upline or other demos nearby to you? maybe someone (preferably your upline) will take pity on you and help you get started so you don't lose your demoship before you even really start. try hitting up any/all relatives or good friends. I'm not a demo and it's precisely situations like this that make me never want to sign up for sales positions. like belindaking said, sounds like the demo side of this site is a good place for you to go. good luck to you. :)

I know just how you are feeling. I am fairly new to being a demo since February. anyway, I have had many shows to cancel and I too have had to cancel a stamp camp recently. My only advice is to keep on keeping on. i had all but given up and low and behold I had an order emailed to me for $175! imagine my surprise. I have a friend that says,"Good things happen to good people woh work hard." From Greg Hopkins#82 L.A. Advengers. I believe in you and you will succeed! Taishea
