Default Workshop help...

Has anyone ever had a problem placing a last minute sell-a-bration workshop order? A friend of mine has changed her date three times now and the 28th is the only day she can have it. She will close that night and I have until 11:50 MT time to place the order, which is actually 1:50 am my time.

I called Stampin Up and they said the 28th at 11:50. The date on the front is so customers get thier orders in on time.

You could always offer her something extra for getting preorders. Then you can imput them and hold (park) the order until you get the rest, then submit. The website lets you do this and return to the order later and add to or change it. This way you could have some imputted.

I had the same thing happen last year! I had the party on the very last day you could put the orders in but her workshop was over $500, so it was worth it. Linda's suggestion to have outside orders is a very good idea, and also, make SURE your hostess has her wishlist ready to go - that way you will be able to go home and enter the orders in right away. My hostess last year earned a lot and she didn't have a good idea of what she wanted. I actually spent a lot of time after the workshop exchanging things for her. :?

Have a great time at your workshop!

A couple years ago I had a workshop on the 28th. It was a wild and crazy night... wine was spilled and glasses were broken, but that's another story. All through the workshop I knew I needed to get home and get the order entered. The web site had been slow the weeks prior to that, so I was a little concerned. Of course, this workshop went later than most do for a weeknight. When I did get home I entered the order, but I just entered names, no addresses (except the hostess). I figured if a customer ordered from me again I could fill it in later, otherwise it wasn't important. I am in the central time zone so I had an 'extra' hour to play with. Being that you are two hours ahead I would think that is plenty of time. Also, I thought the web site would be busy and therefore slow. But I think most people don't want to take the chance, so don't have workshops that night.

I guess I wouldn't worry about it too much...
