Diane, Karen, and Susan, y'all are making me feel guilty! I miss SCS, and am still lurking around with plans to start commenting and uploading photos again soon. The move kicked my butt and wore me out, but things are starting to settle down a bit.

SCS is an awesome place full of awesome people!
So glad to hear you are coming back...moving and having 2 busy boys sure can whack you out.....
cute new avatar too!!
hugs,
K
Anyone remember Sarah Vrolyk? She was an amazing paper crafter, too! She was part of the amuse team. Also wonder what happened to Scoopy, who used to blog for amuse as well.
I miss Susan too, but so glad you're heading back for some action here, Susan! I'm a regular gawker on your blog though. I also miss Sweet Miss Daisy (Anna)Sassy & Sweet Notes , but again, follow her blog, which is like reading the diary of a country artist! LOL Love it.

I miss Susan - One4Joy. Her work always challenged me and made me think. One of her cards I favourited is still enjoyed in real life as it's a permanent fixture on the mantelpiece.
I remember him - Cubby or something was his user name? And he did a lot of work for Gina K - Kurtis Amundson Looks like he doesn't blog anymore either but I remember how kind and generous he was to everyone, helping them and doing tutorials.
I miss denidill and momis mama - and then there are a few others but I can't remember their usernames.

I remember Sarah.. I also remember when she quit everything! I was like, WHAT??? Who would just up and give it all up??!!! Since then a lot of people have followed suit and it still baffles me. It's just so sad how someone so talented at something can just walk away from it all. I do get how it can take over your life, it's a pretty intense "hobby" if you're involved as heavily as we are..

I design for: Stampendous!, There She Goes, Technique Tuesday,
SRM Stickers and Deconstructed Sketches.
When Kurtis was real active here he was in High School. If I remember correctly he was the same age as my youngest son so he would now be 23 or so now.
I'm thinking he may of found a pretty girl (that's closer to his age... lol) to hang out with. ;)

Does anyone remember Inka on The Rubber Stampers Tea Room? She was one of my first online class teacher favorites!
Bonnie
Yes, I do! She had a company, Inka Stamps, for a long time. I still have some images she sent me. I used to hear from her occasionally, but not in a long while now. Last I checked, her business was closed :(

I miss Kurtis too and I hope the pretty girl theory is accurate.
Jeanne it's so wonderful to see your smiling face! While I don't believe you post as much as you used to when I first read this thread title you were the first one to come to mind Janice
I also thought about Curtis. I haven't seen him post in a while (unless I'm just not looking in the right places), but I'm thinking he was working with Gina K. as well.
I *knew* I saw him in the staff pic at Vision Forum!
or did you "think" it was his twin Red Bear? Red Bear and Pink Snuggles leave on Monday for a week long visit...it really messes with the people's mind when "krabearkub" doesn't call them by name! Uhm...means that person isn't krabearkub!
I will pass on the greetings to him...he does have his Copics and a few stamps in SA...but I have the rest!!!!!

Tamijo...I miss him too...I've been busy reclaiming the stamp room as mine again!!!!
Hi Kurtis' Mom!! I miss Kurtis around here, too. While most of you miss his classic CAS designs and beautiful photography, what I miss about Kurtis is his help on the back end of SCS. His help keeping the lights turned on, so to speak. Kurtis was a great moderator and did a lot of technical work for us on behind the scenes. I always shook my head in amazement that the he was still in high school. Smart, super friendly and talented.

I, too, miss Faith. Regardless of the unfortunate circumstances of her departure and the opinions of those much closer to the situation than me, her work was beautiful and I loved seeing her daily postings in the gallery.
Not long after I joined, 2007, I remember coming across an SCSer who posted fairly regularly to her gallery here and her cards told a story -- a plot, characters, etc., and she wrote the story in her card upload description. It was really very cool.
Anyone know who she is?? If she's still here or moved to a blog??
Now, I did look in my favorites to see if I could figure out who it was and I came across papermoon04. Her last upload was a few years ago and same for the last post on her blog. I'll have to search back to see if she is the "storyteller" I was thinking of. Her name is Shelly Kuck.
Shelly's art (papermoon04) is classic collage style. She is not so much of a 'storyteller', but I still enjoy her style and her eye for intriguing combinations. I miss her being here too, but I know that she's busy with her job & family. ;)
Are you thinking of Mothermark (Cindy) as the storyteller? If so, look for her Teapot Tuesdays challenge every Tuesday here at SCS! Now that gal can whip up a tale for sure!!
Oh so cool to look at those "Marie" story cards by papermoon04! I definitely stand 'corrected' on the "story" part!
I truly do not recall that series.
I do know that earlier this Spring, Shelly was excited about having one of her works published. She had submitted it a very long time ago, and seemingly out of the blue, it was pubbed this year. What a fun surprise, and a testament to her collage style.
I am still around. I design for Gina K and have for years. I am on sabbatical this summer because my stamp room is in boxes while we move. But I'm still crafting! Just keep it mostly on my blog nowadays.
LOL!! We'd "stalk" the challenge forums the night before the challenge was posted, we'd chit chat and talk it up while we waited!!!

Them were some GOOD times : stalking!!! LOL!!! Want a good laugh, go waaaaaay back in the challenge forums and you can still find some of the "stalker threads"!!! Yep, I do miss all of you......sigh.....4 kids, working full time.....someday, I'll get to stamp and do the daily challenges again......

I <3 LeisaJane's cards so much, I bookmarked her gallery years ago!
And I SO remember the stalking and pre-release chats ... it was early in my stamping life and I thought it was amazing and great fun. I remember the first time I told DH about a stamp "release." He asked if they were all being held in stamp prison somewhere, LOL!
