Lightbulb What to replace Bottuchino tile with for coasters??

Hi all,

I am having a tough time finding 4x4 marble tile for coasters to replace the Bottichino that Lowes use to sell. I only have 2 boxes left and 3 bazaars still scheduled. YIKES! :-| Help please.

What is everyone using now???

If you can call Lowe's and ask for someone in tile section, they should be able to help you find a substitute for that tile if they no longer sell it. If you have a Menard's or Home Depot, I would call them too. Here in KC, we have a place called the Tile Shop that sells, of course, all kinds of tile. Does your town/city have something like that?

I have purchased the 4" x 4" Bottochino tiles through Amazon from Oracle Tile Co in California. They are the same price as Lowe's--9 for $9.00. I usually order 3 or 4 sets at a time and the shipping is free. They pack them very well, and I've never had a broken one. They ship promptly.

Do y'all seal the tiles with anything? I've seen them both ways. If you're using StazOn, do you need to seal them? Doesn't that just negate the absorbency of natural stone and men they get wet and slick?
