I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I need to buy a lot of these rings in a certain size, and am trying to find them online. Is there a specific name for them? See attached (just the ring).

Thanks.

I've gotten them as either "binder rings" or "book rings". Check Staples - I think I have some from them that were very reasonably priced (looking at their website, they call them "looseleaf rings".
I"ve also seen them at Walmart, but I think theirs were all assorted sizes in the packages.
Thanks. I need them to be in 1.25" size. I have 3 at home, but need 16 more. Staples only has 1" and 2". But thank you very much for the name, I can keep looking.
I don't think it's a split key ring - there is typically no hinge on those, they're just two complete circuits of one piece of strong "wire" with a kink where the two ends meet (hard to describe!). You wouldn't be able to use that to join pages together. The one in the OP's picture has a hinge.
I don't think they really have a name other than ring. You can easily get them at any office supply store in packages of various sizes and amounts. Certainly not expensive.
I would try a local office supply store before doing the internet route.....it will be cheaper.
Loyce, I am making basicly a 6x6 album to put cards in. 2 years ago I found some 6x6 scrapbooks that had 10 sheet protectors in it (not one you could add more to), and I sold them at a craft sales with cards in them, as an "Emergency Card Kit". Promoted it as a Kit they keep in their desk drawer at work, and when they need a card quickly for a co-worker's birthday, new baby, etc; then they had a card handy in the Kit. They sold like crazy. Since then I have not been able to find the scrapbooks, so I'm making my own. I covered some chipboard with paper, bought some 6x6 scrapbook sheet protectors and as soon as I can get enough of these rings, I will have a book ready to put cards in. I don't have any done, so no pictures yet.
Cool! Thank you for responding. I have a dear friend who is a dumpster diver. I'll put your rings on our "wish list" for him. Who Knows? We might get lucky.
I looked all over for them, pricing them everywhere last year for a large group project where I needed about 400 of them.........WalMart was by far the cheapest in packages of 10-12 in multicolors.
Binder rings, any school supply store should sell them in bulk for cheap, I have ordered them in boxes of 100 or more from here Home - SCHOOL SPECIALTY CANADA
