I have tried many of the ideas metioned. I have not tried the Tack-n-Peel yet, even though I own some. The TIO&O REALLY needs to be a thin even coat as metioned, and just another tip about the TIO&O, let it dry overnight. I saw on someone's blog that they first applied a coat of Aleene's Tacky Glue, let that dry and then apply your TIO&O. Haven't tried that. I do have some extra cling mount sheets I'd like to sell, just send me a PM.
I still prefer the EZ Mount but I do have some stamps that the rubber and foam are destined to remain together, so I am happy to hear about these other options for those stamps. I put tack n Peel on one block for Stamping Emergencies LOL, but I prefer EZ Mount.
I use Aileen's Tack it Over and Over. It works great. You only need a very thin coat on it and make sure to let it dry completely (I let mine sit over night before I use it). If its too sticky, I just stick it to my shirt or pants a couple time to take away some of the tackiness. I also have a spray can of repositional (like quilters adhesive) that I'm going to try on a couple stamps. It would be so nice to just take a whole bunch outside on a piece of cardboard and spray them all at once.
If you are using Tack 'n Peel, what happens when you get ink on your block (I always do :-()?
Also, I clean my stamps using a spray, can you spray you stamp while still attached to the block with the Tack 'n Peel and scrub or will this mess up the Tack 'n Peel?
Thanks for all the tips! I have been wanting to do this for months but just can not make up my mind which system to use.

I was too lazy to get out my TIO&O the other night and I used my Zig glue stick. When you leave it dry to clear it becomes repositionable adhesive. It worked. I don't know how long it will stay tacky, but until I have enough time to do the 100+ stamps I just unmounted, the Zig glue works great.
i, personally, prefer to use EZ mount. not only is it great for sticking rubber to acrylic block, but it also works perfectly for my storage system.
if you absolutely, don't want to use EZ mount, then i'd agree with others here: Tack 'n Peel is the BESTEST! i really hate aileen's (used it for quite some time, and still never loved the stuff).
Tack n Peel. This clear acrylic sheet, without any cushioning, is available in 15 cm x 10 cm (6" x 4") sheets. You only have to buy enough of this product to adhere (already has a sticky side), to each of your acrylic blocks. From then on in, nothing needs to be done to any U.M you purchase. Your U.M will grab to the Tack n Peel ready for use every time. It's a breeze!
I took the lazy option. I had a box of re-positionable adhesive tabs from Fiskars. I used 2 on an unmounted rubber stamp. It stayed stuck to the block, got multiple uses, and cleaned up easily. No adhesive residue on my block or my stamp.
I tried double-sided tape & while it worked for the most part it left sticky residue on my stamp & I had to put some elbow grease into getting off the acrylic block.
Did you look in the "crafts" section? The place where they have all the stencil paints and stuff like that. The Tack It Over and Over is not in the stamping/scrapbook section.
In my Michael's, the Tack it Over and over was in the fabric paint area.
