I meant to post this video when I posted the watercolor tutorial yesterday, in case anyone was interested in seeing the full process of painting (in the tutorial video, a few parts are edited out). It is sped up 4x, but it's all there. Enjoy! and please let me know if you have questions.

Was practicing this last night as you recommended in the video and my pine branches certainly don't look like yours :-) but since you told us to practice, practice I will! I do think I need a new finer brush though for those feathery strokes…
Dini, this is so beautiful! Thank you for the extended video. And those liquid watercolors are intriguing. Can you say something about whether you like them better than pan or tubes, or whether they are better in one application or another? They look like they would be less economical, though.
I just had to go look at them on Dick Blick and they really do look like fun.

Oh, 'better' is such an unfair word when it comes to art supplies! They're fun. They are intense. It took less than a drop of each color to paint this scene. They can be dripped, sprayed, brushed, mixed... they work great for a Wrinkle Free Distress type technique.
One nice thing about liquid watercolors is that they don't require water - which is nice when you're painting fine details and don't want an extra drop of water on a teeny brush.
I generally use tube paints. QoR is the brand I reach for most. But I do go in phases... and sometimes I just reach for what's closest. I'm an equal opportunity watercolorist, I guess... I have pencils, pans, tubes, markers, sheets, and liquids! They all play well together, so it's fun to change it up, or mix and match.

I put one set in my basket. Dick Blick is so thoughtful, they never empty your basket, no matter how long you're gone. You can always go back and see your ongoing history of desire, in a nice neat column. ;)

I put one set in my basket. Dick Blick is so thoughtful, they never empty your basket, no matter how long you're gone. You can always go back and see your ongoing history of desire, in a nice neat column. ;)
Yes hahaha. Unlike dumb Joann.com, which will empty a full cart when you step away for a minute. I went in with an artist friend down the block so we could get that 20% off $99 or more, and free shipping. I just can't justify their high shipping costs on just a few items. But they don't carry IZINKs :( At least I couldn't find them � could you?
