Thanks for all your work in verifying the authenticity of this! I know Sarah raised some valid points and I really admire the SCS team for steppin' up! and helping verify and confirm. Now that I know its "for real" I'll be happy to send some of my customers to fill out the survey!
I want to publicly apologize to Cami and to all of you for my post... and I would like to explain WHY I initially posted what I did.
The initial email I received (same as Cami) was sent from an outside company, not SU! the content of the email seemed suspicious to me and I contacted SU! to confirm the legitimacy of the email. I asked for the person listed as the contact name for SU! in the email and was told by DS she was not an employee of SU! It turns out she is very new with SU! After giving DS the URL in the email they placed me on hold and spoke to a person in compliance. They returned and told me this was a �scam�, their words not mine, they stated they "would never use an outside marketing firm, because they have an internal marketing department", they asked me to forward the email to them for further investigation.
It was based on THAT information I came to SCS intending to post a warning for all; assuming others had received the email. When I saw Cami�s email I just posted to this thread as well; and you know the rest.
I hope it is understood I was never intending to hurt Cami, or anyone here; but to help protect my friends here from potential harm. I understand now that I hurt Cami greatly and I of course want to apologize for that.
I also want it known that I have since spoken to SU! and the contact person listed in the email and made sure they understood how much drama has ensued over this marketing campaign; some of which I will agree is my own doing; however good my intentions were.

Speaking for myself, I appreciate you sharing your concern. It is not like you sent that out before calling SU to confirm. You have no control over the fact THEY gave you incorrect information!!! If anyone is upset, they should direct it to SU who did not properly inform people!!! I read your posts and you were not malicious; you were only trying to protect your stampin' buds.
Thanks everybody for checking it out and posting the results. I too had been "wondering" when I saw the post if this had been validated by more than one person. Now that I know it has been fully checked out, I'm signed up. Hope they pick me
I signed up. Once I saw how much information they knew about SU, I knew it wasn't a fraud. Look at some of the survey questions that were asked, they were specific to SU. Also, there wasn't any information they they couldn't get anywhere else. I mean if they were asking for our credit card numbers or our ss number then shy away, if it is merely a survey why on earth not. Everytime I shop with an online store a survey pops up.
I am so guilty of not reading through all the posts first!! Man i couldn't type my info in fast enough.LOL! What a girl will do for some free stamps.A lesson learned for me thats for sure!! Thanks for the heads up though!! There are so many scams out there that we should be more careful.Ya know, this is all part of the scrapbook/stamping addiction that we have.Got to have it and have it now! ~Kim~
Thank you Sarah for doing the research. As a former Advisory Board member with Stampin' Up! I also thought something looked fishy. They usually do not run their business from outside sources, as Sarah confirmed. As Shelli said before and always "never say never". It looks like they are trying something new. Since I have retired from SU I was able to sign up for this research team. I think it is very important that this was checked out to make sure it was legit. Thanks to all of you who put that time in.
So here's a question: What will the subject or title be on the survey e-mail? Just wondering because we get so much spam it would be nice to know if Stampin up is mentioned somewhere so we don't delete it right away without looking at it. DH likes to delete spam right away.

I would guess Volt Marketing. I'm sure SU! may be in the subject line though?
I'm home from Eugene and trying to catch up, but just wanted to say that I hold no hard feelings towards Sarah. I've just been busy. We've had pms between us and all is good baby!!

I got picked, i recived my email this morning it just stated: Congratulations! Your application to join the Stampin' Up! customer panel has been accepted along with some more info to fill me in!
Can't wait!! Thought you all would love to hear about this since there has been so many questions flying around about it! I signed on to see if their were any survery but there was none yet!! Hopefully soon!!! I'll keep you all posted.
Also i sent the link to me mom and she sent it to stampin up to double check to see if it was real and this is the response they sent her back!

If you go to the Announcements forum, there's one entitled "I'm on the Panel for SU Research". There's a whole bunch of us that have been selected (me included!)

Glad to know that they were actually offering Canadians a spot on the panel. My sister in MN just got picked today too! I'm so jealous!!!! Have fund and share with the rest of us!
This whole thing reinforces the fact that when we call Demo Support, we don't always get the same answers. Unfortunately, mistakes can be made, but at least everyone here had everyone's best interests at heart.
I probably didn't get picked cause i only own about 7 stamps..lol..just started going to su parties late last year..and there is soooo much i wanted to get..oh well..lol..so happy for everyone else..let us know what goodies you get..

I got my email today, too, that I got picked. It will be interesting to see what is on the surveys...and what goodies I'll get! As a beginning stamper, anything from SU is appreciated!
One of my customers just told me Friday that she too was picked! I am so excited for her and can't wait to see what she gets to review!!
