Default Valentine’s Day Card for Friend

I have a dear friend who is having a hard time with the Covid precautions and my moving away (I used to live across the street from her, now I live six miles away). I am looking for suggestions for a Valentine’s Day card with “gentle humor”- nothing snarky or sarcastic, and of course, nothing romantic. Design suggestions appreciated too.

Thank you

Linda

Simon Says has a great stamp set: Just Miss you. Lots of appropriate sentiments.
High Five from Ellen Hutson has a cute little "you are here" with an arrow you can point to a heart. ( And MONDO SQUISHY HUGS)
ALL of my valentines are Not Romantic. I send to all the nursery workers at church, (God's love) 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, (Grammy love) and 6 friends (friend-love). None are fluffy and don't say I Love you, in any romantic way.
Grandson's cards are manly/sporty as they are all over 18. I do Feminine for all the others.

Another option: My Favorite Things new Hug It Out stamp set:
https://mftstamps.com/collections/ne...-outSentiments include:
Sending You a Very Big Squeeze,
I Know Hugs Are Healing, So I’m Sending You My Best Hug Ever,
Pretend I’m Only an Arm’s Reach Away,
Pretend This Is Me, Hugging You, for a Really Long Time,
You Give the Best Hugs and I Miss Them,
Air Hugs ’Til We Can Bear Hug

Plus cute pictures of animals hugging.

But really any hugs sentiments and images are great. There were a bunch of citrus sets that had sentiments like "Consider Yourself Squeezed." That seems nice and sunny to me.

I also like the upbeat and punny sets from Lawn Fawn, like this hamster and a hamster wheel with the sentiment "I wheelie like you." It's corny, but corny usually puts a smile on someone's face.

Finally, there's the whole galentine's theme. It's not my thing exactly, but it seems to be designed for non-romantic, female friends to express appreciation to each other on Valentine's Day. Another My Favorite Things set: https://mftstamps.com/products/my-ga...0873aa00&_ss=r
Finally, I think any card with lots of hearts and a simple sentiment like Happy Valentine's Day is neutral enough to be welcomed by anyone.

There’s a nice die named “heart parade” that fits across a 3 X 5 card nicely. It’s different size hearts linked together. A blogger with the name LiveLoveCards is out of business but the internet is forever. Her name is Darlene. She has a cute card made with this die. And the die is affordable. The messages above are some really good Valentines sayings.

You could also just send a card, Just because. It doesn't have to be "romantic" for Valentine's Day.

You could maybe pull on girlfriend comradery like I miss our movie nights, going to the nail salon or whatever you guys used to do together...even making cards. Let her know you miss her too. There are tons of friend sentiments. Just put it on a red based card.

Default I stole your idea- thank you!

I went to your blog (I will be back) and found the I Will Always Be Your Friend, Gnome Matter What card. I shamelessly stole your idea.

I found a couple girl gnome digital stamps, and put them together to look like they were holding hands. I colored them with "valentine's day's" colors- reds and pinks. I used your saying on the front and added Happy Valentines's Day to the inside along with a note.

My friend loved it! She called to tell me it made her day and wanted to know where I got my great idea. Did I do the right thing and say "I stole it from Cheermom"? I'll let you guess the answer to that one.

I'm sorry for the late response- time gets away from me.

Thank you again
Linda
