I had a thought and I am wondering if anyone is doing this...
Sometimes with a slimline pattern it is mentioned one can cut it down to do an A2 card, which is cool.
But I am wondering about the reverse.
Has anyone taken A2 embossing folders or dies and used it twice to build the slimline length? Seems like it could be done and would be a great way to stretch the stash. Things like dies with cut out windows for example. Seems like you could just line it up with the last one and cut more to get the extra length? Same thing with an EF....
If you have could you tell us which product you did it with? We might have it too!

The wave stencil is from A Colorful Life and is much smaller, but you can't really tell once the items are added on top. The sunray stencil is smaller and works well on the slimline as the rays could just be lengthened.
I am fairly sure I tried the embossing folders, but can't find a photo to share.

That is exactly what I am talking about Lisa! And all of them terrific and I would not know which product you had used if you did not tell me. I forgot to mention stencils! They would be very adaptable! Thanks!
Anyone else?

I love the 6x9 stencils from A Colorful Life Designs - they can do two A2 fronts or a slimline.
I was watching Becca Feeken's live video today and she has some products that she calls "half slimline" size, so they can be repeated for a full slimline card or used on an A2, or mixed and matched with all the brilliance that Becca's designs include.
I never liked the full size slimline cards, too much space to work with IMHO. I prefer to make mini slimline cards (6 x 3.5) to use up my 6x6 paper pad collection. I'm using my embossing folders and background dies with no problem. I'll layer the embossed or die cut background on top of mat (5 7/ which is fine for my designs.
Grant you I have plenty of scraps after cutting the bases to size, but they don't go to waste. They're used in other card layouts and matting die cuts, etc.

sorry I don't have a name for this die, my daughter gifted it to me from Amazon and there was no name with it, but I put the die in but only cut just above the end of the die by placing my cutting plate just before the end of the die, then took it out and flipped it and lined up with previous cuts and did the other side, hope that is understandable, hard to explain.

Conniecrafter, I love the cards you shared! So neat that you were able to line the edges of the die up and get the larger size.

Agree! I prefer mini-slim, even to A2. I love smaller spaces.
