Default Uploading Photos from iPhone

Hi.

I would like to photograph my cards with my iPhone then upload them to SCS. Even if I take the picture the correct way up it is often sideways when I post it. I have tried emailing the photos to myself first as suggested on various Apple forums but they still go sideways when I upload them.

I can upload straight from my phone to Pinterest without a problem.

Help!

Lesley

Lesley, maybe you will find an answer quicker if you post your question here Site Support, Technical ?s and Suggestions - Splitcoaststampers
I don't have an iPhone so my only thought is maybe rotate the picture sideways before uploading and see if it straightens on the upload.

Thank you. I will post there. It's a weird iPhone thing. If you edit or crop a photo the phone uploads the original rather than the edited version.:(

Oh that's strange. Are you uploading from chrome browser on your phone? I had an issue uploading pictures from my phone if I use the phone's browser. If I use Chrome instead I have no issues. That's strange too. I have an Android phone

Did you try to save the picture first on your phone then upload it. That might work

Just a thought, but have you considered downloading a photo editing app into your iPhone? There are lots of them out there, some free, some with nominal charge. I use Photo Editor because it seems to be more user friendly than others I have tried. I am thinking that by using the app, the issue of the orientation of the photo would be resolved there and you wouldn't be having to deal with the quirks of uploading directly from the iPhone photostream.

Please note that I have only done this on my iPad, not my iPhone. I figured out really fast that everything is too dang small on the iPhone and prefer to work with a larger format. That being said, the photo app has solved a lot of my upload problems.
