I’m having a real mental block with the buttons lately! Actually, kind of a general creative standstill. Gonna give it another try this afternoon. I also need to get busy on Valentines and rebuilding my stash of cards.

I always have a block against buttons, which is how I ended up with so many of them! I still haven't gotten creative with them at all but I count it as a bonus just to use one. I send almost all of my cards so the bulk issue is what usually stops me.

Oops - just realized that I got busy making Valentines and forgot about Button Month. I’ll have to give it another try tomorrow!

Just uploaded another button card but I have to admit that it's been tough to include buttons this month. I also plan to start on Valentine cards, and may try to sneak a button or two on one of those. Even the thin buttons are sometimes too bulky for easy mailing...sigh.

ButtonMonth Oversized Hello by PJBstamper2 (me)
Argh!! I mentioned that I am trying to use buttons on cards, so a friend of mine dropped off two baggies of buttons over the weekend! She left them on my porch and called to let me know they were there. I have a feeling she knew I would run the other way if she handed them to me, haha!
The goal is to decrease the number of buttons I have, not increase them.

Hi Chris,
I just loved your adorable gift bag, and what a great idea to use buttons on something you don't have to mail. I'm going to start looking at those decorative buttons in a new way. Thanks for leaving your sweet comments on my button cards too.

Not sure when the card will be visible to others since I’m not a fan club member, but I uploaded another ButtonMonth card. I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t really like putting buttons on cards. I do like Chris’s idea to use them on gift bags. I’m envisioning looping the string from a gift tag over a button or putting buttons at the top of both sides of the bag and wrapping string around them to keep the bag closed.

Well, looks like a couple of us realized why we never use buttons on cards anyway! I love the look of a button or two, but the bulk makes them too hard to mail. I have two sets of button dies and use those instead of real buttons. I'm still glad you spurred me to use a few of them at least!

Since ButtonMonth was a bit of a chore for most of us, I made one more effort and uploaded to the gallery. I used some of those thick buttons that look really cute, but don't mail well...and will be hand-delivering this one with my nursing home donations.

Oh - bonus points for using multiple buttons! I didn’t even put a dent in my stash of non- standard buttons much less the round ones.
