Here is my first card that I uploaded. I also did not have a camera so I had to scan my card. That makes it look even worse! Lol I love this thread. It's fun to look at everyone's early work... Although I think everyone's cards look great!
I didn't look at all the "first postings", but the ones I did are fabulous. I'd hate to think what my first one looks like. Don't think I'll even go back and try to find it :>
Wow!! What a great post. I'm lovin' all these "baby" cards. You guys are amazing. Your projects sure put my first card to shame. You have to promise that if you look at this first upload you'll go check some more of my recent ones because this first one is truly hideous! I mean, really, everything about it . . . the colors, the stamping, the technique, the photograph. Ick! But, I did love that stamp set, "Roses in Winter," and I've kept it for sentimental reasons.
Oh, and I have to say, the comment I received is a testament to how sweet people are here at SCS. I mean gaylestamps.com was kind enough to through me some sugar on such an ugly card. xxoo

I see nothing wrong with this cad. I rather like the simple subtle colors and serenity of it.
I am loving this thread. How fun to hear about your first stamping experiences and see your completed projects. Just today I found a big binder of my old cards in the attic and inside was MY very first one. I remembered it was because a few of us went together and bought this Stampendous set that had whales and dolphins. We were all struggling teachers in those days (the 80s) and hadn't even gotten into embossing. I believe that the blue paper just peaking out was probably construction paper from school. Whether you just started stamping, or are as old as me, we would love to see your first creation!
I don't have a picture of it, but the first card I made was for my mother on Mother's Day. When she took it out of the envelope, all the layers fell apart. I didn't realize there was "permanent" and "repositionable" adhesive. Guess which one I bought and used?!? lol
She was so gracious though..."Don't worry. You can put it back together for me with Scotch tape."
