I got a quick peek at the new catty and I am disappointed, one maybe two stamp sets calling buy me! There is some Christmas but only one new set I think. I was disappointed last year too though, went back to class for the blendabilities only, now filling my monthly allotment with paper and ink orders. I do like the Cucumber Green, will have to see if it is a crisper, cooler green.
I guess I will have to keep waiting for a good replacement for Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue as well as some good solid school colors.
I get jaded this time of year because I see these new InColors and wonder what core colors will get booted next time they "refresh" the color palette. Some colors like Sahara Sand, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, etc have been around for ages. At some point 90% of my cs and inkpads will be retired colors. :???:

I was a die hard SU ink pad fan only bought SU inks, no more. Seeing all the other companies with their ink pad colors and I am like ohhh I like their colors more. So I am wanting to get some of the new TH distress colors and SSS pads.
So I guess I am out of the norm, as I kind of like the new colors. Sorry, I love how they go together so well and that Green well I do like it. So, again I guess I am out of the norm. It has been a long time since I have liked the colors SU has had. Just my two cents though.
You are not alone. I liked them too. They seem to be paler versions of what we have had, so should be compatible, with the "older colors".
The file name for the catalog is 20150601_AnnualCatalog_en-US but it doesn't seem to be coming up when I google it. Perhaps it will eventually?
I took a peek at my stamp club meeting today and there is a new star punch, a really cute label framelit set, Farm Babies stamp set, some new Christmas sets and some favorites from last year's holiday catalog. I'm not very happy about the price increases. Mostly everything has been rounded up and it seemed like a lot of sets were at the $17 price.
I'm not really very interested in the new In Colors. I really like last year's new ones, but the taupe and the mint are the most intriguing.
I'm sure the catty is out there some where but only available to SU Demos. The rest of us have to wait:( I would think they should be coming in the mail starting mid May since it starts June 2. Patience is not one of my virtues and I haven't seen any sign of the SU fairies yet...LOL
I've seen the same slides and displays from the South Pacific taken by different demos, and the colors look different in each of them. I'll hold judgement on the new in colors until I have them in my hand.
None of the core colors are changing this year so Cindy's Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, etc. are safe.
For pricing, they have changed the prices to be even dollars instead of .95. So most things that were 7.95 are will be 8.00 (etc.) starting on June 3rd. Ink pads are going up by $1.05 and refills by 30 cents. Embossing folders are going down. The big shot is also going up in price, although I've been told that Sizzix also increased their price.
(Edited to correct: ink pads will be 6.50, increase of .55. Sory for the error)
Canadian price changes are different.
Demos can start ordering catalogs on May 5th. So if you're in a hurry to see one, check with her/him. It's an exciting time of year.

Reason: Correction
They told us that ink pads and reinkers would be going up for the first time since 2009. Big Shot went up as did the largest size of punch. Embossing folders went down.
That's the third different price I have heard on ink pads! LOL
Guess I'll just have to wait and see the price when I get a catalog. My demo will order them as soon as they allow.

That's odd. I'm looking at the catalog PDF as a demo, and it definitely says $6.50 pads, $3.25 refills.

Maybe the goof is mine. I thought she said the ink pads were $6 but maybe she said $6.50 . I'll see if I can find her email or text. I'll bet I goofed.
It is very rare that I fall in love with the In Colors from seeing swatches. As the demos get their pre-orders and start to make things with the colors I begin to get a better picture and often end up liking at least a few of the colors. Since I'm no longer a demo, I've switched to getting markers and an assortment pack of paper first and then buying ink pads for colors I really find myself using a lot.

That's exactly what I do too. If I have an inkpad that's close, I don't bother. When they get into the core group then maybe I will get one or 2 of them. I don't have the space to add 5 more inkpads a year, in 5 years that's 25 inkpads!
I usually buy the in color markers in my first order. Last year I loved three of the colors and liked the other two. The year before I loved baked brown sugar and liked crisp cantelope and coastal cabana. I only buy the ink pads if I love the colors.
Instead of $25 hostess rewards for a party of $150 you will only get $15. I think it is 10%.
That is kind of a bummer :? Unless the hostess sets are also going to be cheaper... which I'm not gonna hold my breath for! But it's still better than nothing I suppose!!

The new hostess rewards will now be 10% of your party total. so if you have a party that is $183.00, your hostess reward will be 18.30. This is the most basic explanation and is the best I can do for now.
You are not alone in liking the green. The only two I will be buying is the Cucumber and the Watermelon.
The Taupe (on my computer) is a darker version of Sahara Sand.
The Mint is a lighter version of Lost Lagoon.
The Watermelon is a bit orange-ish version of Melon Mambo.
Party Sales of $150 - $299 gets you 10%
Party Sales of $300 - $449 gets you 12%
Party Sales of $450 - $599 gets you 14%
Party Sales of $600 or more gets you 16%
And the hostess sets are less than awe inspiring. I remember the days when you really would strive to get the sales to that magic number because the hostess set was so amazing. Now I could care less about any of the 5 hostess sets. And didn't there used to be a wider selection? Ugh. So much has changed. For the worse.

Yeah, but I used to get $25. I need to see the whole chart and compare it to my existing one, but I don't think there is any (realistic) point where a hostess comes out better under the new system than the old.

Well, originally, I think there were maybe 10 different rewards over three levels. It was nearly impossible, at least in my circle, to get to a level three reward, so I thought it was nice when they just gave them dollar values. And for years when I didn't like the hostess selections, I also thought it was nice that hostess dollars could be used for any product in the catalog.
But since most of the price points on hostess sets were/are $8, 9, and $10, I don't really know what $15 in rewards for a little bitty party is going to get me.
Does this mean the actual catalog is orderable by us non demo's at the end of the month?
How much is the catalog these days?
I'm in love with that cake crafting set, although I'm fine with just getting the framelits and going from there. Too bad, it's not avail now for my niece's party next weekend.

The only way there is any increase is in between the larger dollar amounts where you now get a percentage instead of having to move up to the next level. It doesn't start to work until you get to the $475 level where you'd now get $66.50 instead of $65, at 599 you'd get $83.86 instead of $80, at $650 you'd get $104 instead of $100, from $750 you'd get $120 instead of $115, at 850 you'd get $136 instead of $130 and over $1000 gets 16% instead of 15%. None of these things will help your average customer in the lower $ ranges who across the board earn far less $$. I think this will also hurt the demos as people have no incentive to push to the next level when they get the percentage off in between. I have been one of those customers who calculates a million times to get the best deal,as in, if I spend $40 more dollars I can get $15 more in free stuff, etc.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of doing the math. ;) My club never hits anywhere close to $475, so yeah.
