When I started stamping, I bought all of the cs, markers, ink pads and reinkers of all the color families. I have found that I don't like the Bold Brights or the Soft Subtles. To force myself to use all of the items, I use the color families based on the season...
Spring=Soft Subtles
Summer=Bold Brights
Fall=Earth Elements
Winter=Rich Regals
So, I'm now using the Bold Brights and the Soft Subtles, but I don't like them.
Mine is that minty green, is it Mint Melody? I don't know if it is retired or not, but when I first "met" SU, and went to my first party, I thought it would be a great color. I have NEVER been able to find a use for it!
As a color family, my least favorite is Soft Subtles. I tend to go to the more vivid colors. Currently using black and red with a little white the most.
I'm new to SU! but I have the cs in all colors but Bold Brights. Looking at the BB colors, I knew I wouldn't be able to use them and so far, I don't miss them
I got the Lilac stamp pad and paper - and NEVER use either of them. Everytime I try to force myself to use the paper - I end up scrapping the card. I am surprised with the Yo Yo Yellow dislikes. It's one of my favs. It's perfect for "BEE" cards -
Here is one that my friend LOVED. Just Bee-Cause Take 2 by VHarrell at Splitcoaststampers
My number one, absolutely, would never use even if my life depended on it color is Taken with Teal. It is the only color ink pad I did not replace 5-6 years ago when SU changed over the stamp pads to the current style. I detest that color! I actually took the paper and it's file out of my SU paper drawer! That way I never have to see it if I don't want to.
Second choices would be Blush Blossom or Pale Plum. I would possibly consider using them if I had to.
There are many colors that I don't use very often, in years as a matter of fact but I don't hate them.. They are just not a top choice in any way.
Glorious Green is at the top of my list! I wish Wild Wasabi would be subbed for that color. Orchid Opulence is the second least used color for me.

It's nice to see that there are other Bold Brights fans out there. I love, love, love my Bold Brights.
I guess I am a real oddball though, because I really dislike the color brown (to me it's a "poop" color) and find it almost impossible to use Chocolate Chip or Close to Cocoa. I think the CS color that I've never used yet is Bordering Blue.
I've been into SU for 8 years now and I have all of the SU colors - all 48 plus all the In Colors as well as still having some of the old retired colors, too. There are a lot of colors that I may pass over when I'm putting together my color combos, but I have to have them all just in case. You never know when you'll see a great card that inspires you to use the colors in a new way.
That's one of the things that's so great about SU, there are lots of different colors for lots of different tastes.
Handsome Hunter is my least favorite. I almost always buy the assortments, so I probably have about 10 sheets of unused HH. It's pretty strange because green is my favorite color to use in cardmaking.
LOL, I'm totally agreeing with you! HH is just wrong somehow, and I love all shades of green in general--or thought I did. I'm also not wild about Gable Green and Glorious Green...somehow I can never make those shades look good on cards, even though the colors themselves are fine. But the other greens from SU totally rock, so I've got lots to work with!
The only other color I truly hate and despise is ORCHID OPULENCE. Ick.
For those of you who hate yo yo yellow, only orange, and other bold brights and want to use them up...try stamping block images like flowers on white with them for striking OLCs or very simple cards where white is the dominant color. Here, here, here, and here are a few I've done. All the white makes the colors pop and look really cheery rather than garish and eye-wateringly bright. I used to hate the BBs in general, too, but now I'm building my paper collection in many of them...including the dreaded yo yo yellow, LOL!
I am in love with the brights and hate the earth elements. I love bright beautiful cards. I find it very hard to use anything in the browns or greys.
I have noticed that this is an unpopular view.

its kinda of funny i see a lot of people saying that dont use bold brights much, yet thats one of my most used color groups, that and soft subtles. the other 2 color groups are the ones i dont use much
If you have any purely pomegranate left, try it with that - it looks really nice.
My least used colours are mostly in the earth elements group (with the exceptions of c.chip, c.cocoa & c.caramel), with yo-yo yellow and orchid opulence thrown in for good measure.

What a fun thread! I can't stand ucky Apricot Appeal! I made a card using it because it matched a ribbon I had...but YUCK! I can't tell if it's more orange or yellow. It is just weird to me. (Thanks for letting me vent) :rolleyes:
Love, love, love Earth Elements!!!

Sad to say, Mint, Sage and Coral are still in the shrink wrap from 2000. 8 years old and still in the original package. :( At least YoYo Yellow, and Orange have the shrink wrap off. Don't use them very much, if at all, but at least they have been opened.
jennik
PS hopefully there will a "master" list of all the icky ones. Unfortunately, we all seem to dislike the sames ones. That means that no one is looking for a RAk for these colors!! Darn.
I'm an SU demo and I have all the colors in ink and cardstock and markers. My least-used is probably Glorious Green and my next least-used is probably Bordering Blue and Bravo Burgundy. I LOVED Baroque Burgundy, but Bravo is just too brown for me.
I'm shocked that anyone would dislike Regal Rose! It's my favorite, along with Rose Red! <g>
For those who don't like Mint Melody, it makes ADORABLE baby cards, and I've seen some really cool cards with it paired with Handsome Hunter (or was it Forest Foliage?).
I prefer Summer Sun to YoYo and Pumpkin (or Tangerine!) to Only Orange, but I still use them all from time to time.

I don't like Only Orange - still have my original 3 from about 5 years ago!!
To add a comment about Cameo Coral - have you tried it with Ruby Red - great combo!

I used it with Chocolate chip for a fall wedding. It was used making favors.
