There are quite a few videos on youtube so you can see some of the features. I really like it -- very light pressure needed to cut, blade lasts a long time (so far) and the measurements are easy to see and easy to line up. Well worth the money.

The cutting blade is deeper and cuts like butter. The replacement blades come in a four pack but I have yet to replace the blade that came with it and I've cut several packs and more of card stock, glitter paper, and foil paper and there is no sign of my blade even starting to get dull.
I like that it has both imperial and metric measurements.

But it leaves a slight "lip" when cut and I use bone folder to flatten it. I put a new blade on just to see if that was the problems but it wasn't. It cuts DSP pretty well, but cardstock or heavier is not quite as easy. Also, when closed, there is a lip on the arm that stops paper at 6" so when I want to cut using the measurements on the right, I have to open the arm or at least lift the left side up and over that lip. The more I use it, the more I find I don't like. But I haven't found a trimmer yet, that has lived up to my expectations!

Card stock is thicker so it goes without saying that there will be a little more resistance but I've cut up to 3 sheets of CS at a time on this trimmer, without issue. I've always gotten a wee bit of lip on the edge of card stock with every single trimmer I've ever used. With this particular trimmer I've learned that a light touch works wonders. When cutting DSP, I don't apply any real pressure to the blade as I'm sliding it. I let the blade do the work. With CS a bit of pressure is required but in my experience, not too terribly much pressure is necessary unless you are cutting more than one sheet of CS at a time.
I agree with you that the lip on the edge has it's usefulness but at the same time is a tad bit annoying.

I really really wanted to love this trimmer. I'm a huge fan of SU products, not necessarily the prices though, and ive heard so many good things about it. So I grabbed one the minute I could. I don't think I'd cut more than one sheet at a time. I've tried the lighter touch because someone mentioned that before and I was hoping I was just over doing it, but a lighter touch makes the blade jump out of the track occasionally. I keep the track clean because I know the cardstock can leave a fuzzy residue.
If was in the market for yet another trimmer (not! :shock, their going from a true grid on the base to lines would stop me. IOW, there aren’t as many horizontal lines. It sounds like it’s quite good for many people, especially for the price, but I think there are better trimmers out there, though some are spendy.
Ordering new SU trimmer this club meeting. Hope I like it!

I used mine for the first time today. Cut well but leaves the lip on edge of paper that i don't like. I have the older version also with the rotary attachment and love it but i know i will eventually run out of blades for it and i will be forced to use the new one all the time.

Several have referenced the lip on the paper. What do you mean by that?
I donot know how to explain it. Its a semi rough edge that sticks up slightly. I usually use my bone folder to go all around the cut edges and it flattens out, but we shouldn't need to do that. I'll try and see if I can get a picture.
The lip is only on the underside. So it's not noticeable on the top but if you flip it over you can use your bone folder and smooth it . out. The lip is on the top in this picture.

Think about when you die cut something- you can almost always tell which side the die was resting on because underneath there is a slight ridge (lip) on the edge. This is the same affect the trimmer seems to have. It can easily be flattened with a bone folder.
