I love making July 4th and Thanksgiving cards. I send these even if I don't get around to doing birthday or Christmas cards.
I made one Halloween card last year for my grandson. I turned the Poppystamps house easel die into a haunted house with Poppystamps Whittle Monsters.

Great idea to make and send July 4th cards because very few do and so yours stand out! Ooh, I love the Poppystamps whittle dies and I'll bet your haunted house card was adorable.

Hi Sadie,
I saw that Nicole said she hasn't purchased too many quote stamps recently. I can tell you that Impression Obsession has lots of quotes and fun sentiments ~ look especially under the artist, Dina Kowal; I love what she designs!

Lately I'm more likely to buy a vintage collectible stamp than a new release. I love the artwork that was licensed by Stamps Happen and I have been collecting stamps by Nancy Cole (specifically the sweet little beachy boy and girl images, some are also from Inkadinkado) and Cicely Mary Barker (flower fairies and some others), the Renaissance line they had (I'm just missing the knight!), geishas/kimonos from Limited Edition and Judikins.... I have a collection of ridiculous frogs from Stampa Barbara. Classic Pooh. House Mouse.
New stamps too... if I do see something I like, I either don't have the money to get it or I remind myself that I haven't used the last new stamps I bought and I don't deserve another purchase, so that depresses me enough to stifle the urge. *sigh*
I have my own stamp line - I do like those! and I truly try to steer clear of themes that 'everyone else' is doing, which is why there were pomegranates in my last release, and there will be puffins in the spring.
That said... Evernote tells me I do have some obsessions, which include 228 beach stamps, 387 birds,191 bunnies, 354 girls, 161 roses, and 224 silhouettes.
I love, love your stamp line, Dina. Have made a couple of purchases this month, as a matter of fact!

Loved reading through everyone’s comments. What I’m looking for are technology/computer related stamps. I need to make a bunch of cards for Google engineers and I thought a technology/computer theme would be fun. I’ve search on-line but have come up empty. Does anyone know of a company or companies that make this type of stamp? Thanks in advance.

I go to Design Bundles when in need of specific designs for my projects.
They have some tech related images here, but if you search their library you may find more, https://designbundles.net/pikepictur...ons-set-vector
Good luck

Simon has a number of computer theme things including a fun lawn fawn pop up desk for inside a card that include a laptop
Things I love: I find that I still like mostly floral, rustic, leaves, texture stamps, stamps that lend themselves easily to making my own DSP. I love a lot of animal stamps (but not for new babies or that sort). I LOVE all my dies and Vagabond. Got the Vagabond when my rheumatoid arthritis made it difficult to use my Big Shot. I love die cut words as well. I use my Tim Holtz stamping platform ALL the time. I wish it was easier to find stamps for men that aren’t specifically for Father’s Day or that are hunting/fishing things. There are some I’ve found that I like, but it’d be great to have a larger selection.
Things I don’t care for: I really don’t like pun sentiments, don’t care for rhyme-y ones either. I prefer my sentiments to be more like something I would actually say to someone in person. I’m not a huge Tim Holtz image fan. There are some, but it’s probably my age, lol!

I too feel there seems to be a lack of stamp sets that work well for men and are themes other than sports or hunting/fishing. Also, a lot of sets include multiple sentiments for DAD, but both my father and fahter-in-law passed away years ago so I have no use for those. Wish there were more themes for guys who don't like sports or outdoor past-times (or cars). I usually go for nature themes, or ocean themes for men, because none of the guys I know are into sports.

Had to laugh when I read that you didn't like pun sentiments or those that rhyme! I SO AGREE with you! I find the puns absolutely silly and childish....and needless to say, I don't care for puns in general either (although some really are clever). I don't like Tim Holtz's distressed images at all...but his inks, etc are great! As for male cards, I try to do geometric shapes, etc...just generic and gets the job done.
But what I really don't like is the white halo around die cuts....which is why I seldom buy matching stamps & dies. No one has ever explained why that nasty halo exists....I think it cheapens the effect.
I always prefer fussy cutting because of that dern halo! ( also white borders on stickers too, but I don't buy many anymore) AND I can never get it even, I am much more accurate with the scissors than lining up die you can't see - I know the trick of stamping in the platform after, but still more work for me than just cutting it out.
I don't mind a good PUN, but most of the ones you see on stamps are so tired LOL
Yes I could go for more gaming/fantasy/science-y stamps
themes I always go for are Coffee, drinks, even though I don't drink much.... I love a fancy glass! candy and trees
I love to stamp flowers and coloring them in with Twinkling H2Os! I have been stamping many years. I also like to stamp scenes with boats and guys fishing.
