? Spiral Bound Catalog Pages
Just wondered if I was the only one who got a spiral bound catalog with mixed up pages?? I noticed just a few days ago that my catalog has pages out of order after page 58. After 58 is 69 - 104, then 59-60, then 105-106, then 61-68, then 107 - the end. It did take me a while to notice, but I was just wondering if anyone else got one like that???
I guess I can probably take it to an office supply and take the wire off and re-do the order again.

Just checked mine and it's okay. Must be they are limiting "problems" to one per demo. Mine was the smelly bag.

Julie,
It could be that whoever was handling your catalog dropped a few pages & didn't pay good enough attention when putting the pages back. Think of it as a collector's item. There's not another one like it!

mixed up catalog
YEP! My catty had the INDEX pages from the back in the front as well as the back & they were all upside down! I thought I was going crazy, I was so tired when I was looking at it, I thought is was me! I did however catch it while at convention & they gladly exchanged it for me.

Okay, I think I'm missing something. Where did you get spiral bound catalogs?? I couldn't make it to convention... is this something they gave out there?? In your post it sounds like you didn't have an office store do the spiral binding, but that it was that way when you got it! I want one!!!!!!
Thanks in advance for clearing up my confusion!

Those of us who were able to attend were blessed with a bonus of a spiral bound catalog. I'm sure no one was expecting another catalog since we had gotten them in the mail. At least I had gotten one, and I was shocked to find the one in my bag. It was like Christmas! And my mom had just asked me the week before if I wanted her to get one done for me. Thank goodness I declined her offer.

Mine too...
I had a broken bag and a messed up catalog, and my roommate's catalog was partially upside down. They happily exchanged everything, but I hope they're able to get some credit or free repairs from whoever bound them!

Has anyone heard if they may offer these to others?? Maybe as a supply order?

My guess is no, they won't offer it on supply. It doesn't cost much at all to get one done at your local Kinko's or business services store. My husband paid about $7 to have his 2 scouting manuals spiral bound. I think my mom paid less than $4 to have her catalog done & they laminated the covers too. You would pay that for shipping alone to buy it from SU! Check around in your area to see what prices are like. I'm thinking of having a couple done to give to hostesses.

It was a great idea but mine is falling apart. I think I will go to kinkos and see if I can buy a different coil to try and rethread the book. The type of coil they used isn't holding my pages. They keep slipping out

Ok, I'm a little late on this conversation, but FYI....I took two of my catalogs for binding to Office Depot and it was just under $10 for both of them, including laminating front/back covers. Well worth it since I tote the catty practically everywhere I go!

spiral bound catalog
I'm a newbie, so I didn't go to the convention, but I did get my catalog spiral-bound at Office Depot. It was $3.00 total and they did it while I waited! I also purchased plastic index dividers and had them insert them in places I would most likely turn to for workshops (like the hostess benefit page, the pages with all the colors, the index page, and a few others). It turned out great and is really nice to be able to open it flat!
Definitely worth the few extra dollars!

I am so totally going to do this today! I had a friend in my old stampers club (before I was a demo) that had hers done, and I wasn't sure if I liked it...but I look at the darn thing almost daily! I NEED to do it, don't you think!?!

Well I did it yesterday. Although when I saw the look on the face of the girl behind the counter when I told her what I wanted, I should have just turned myself around and left.
She said she didn't know how to do it and the woman who normally works in that department would be right back...I was in the store for 45 minutes to an hour and she never came back.
This young girl did have help from two of the guys working there, but she tried to do most of the process herself. Needless to say when I got home and really looked at my book I noticed two different groups of pages in the wrong order and one of which were punched poorly...the holes were punched twice and there is nothing really holding these pages in at the top of the book, only the last 5 holes at the bottoms of the page are secure in the plastic spiral. I took it apart and fixed the "out of order" issue, but my catalog is in danger of losing pages.
Heed my warning, watch them closly if you do this. I guess I got off cheap, it was about $3 and at least nothing was really ruined.
