I was wondering if any one knows or heard anything about Spellbinders website. It has been down for over a week due to maintenance. It just seems like an awful long time for a company to have a site down.
The Spellbinders site has been down for a couple of weeks. My husband thinks that they probably lost their serve. If that is the case, it may be some time before they are back up. Let's hope it will be soon.
When I looked today to do some research, there was no site at all. Maybe they are going to completely re-do it. I cant see them going long without a site at all.
You might try looking at ScrapMart or on Amazon-both tend to carry a lot of Spellbinder product.
I just put a few clearance items in my cart, but when I went to view them, I got a virus message as well. This redesign or whatever seems to be a bit of a disaster!
I will say it is cart load trigger happy. If you are not careful about wanting to see the details of an item, you can very easily end up popping it into your cart. A load window flashes and 3 times I accidently loaded my cart just trying see the dims of something.
I had an error message when I went to see my cart. I was using Mozilla. I changed browser to Google Chrome and had no problems. I learned recently that web browsers are always making "updates" and sometimes web sites havent' caught up to the changes and their site won't work right with the new updated browser. Sorry I am not a techy person so may not have explained it all correctly-- but I have found this to be true. So if a site isn't working/getting error messages....try a different browser and see if that fixes the problem. This is a nice sale.
I checked in with the Spellbinders sight earlier today and was very happy to see it up and running. I will look forward to the order that I placed as well.
What is happening with the Spellbinder website? I was interested in joining the monthly die club but could not sign up online. When I try calling Spellbinder, there are no representatives available and one must leave a message. I did email my question but have never gotten a response back.
I ordered from their website a week ago and they still haven't bothered to ship my order. Not happy at all. Has anyone who ordered from them actually gotten their items??
And don't bother to email them, all you'll get is a canned response saying they'll get back to you within SEVEN DAYS. I certainly won't be ordering from them again. Clearance deals aren't worth dealing with crappy customer service for.
I had ordered repeatedly from them before the site crash. They were never the fastest shippers. Made me wonder if they dont prioritize commercial clients first?
I *think* there might only be one CS person? I know she got back to me, late in the day when I left a message and she was responsive but sounded harried and exhausted. But that was before. It did seem like the warehouse did not keep up with notices-ie they had not put in the system they had shipped me already.
I have an order in now for 5 days that is waiting to get filled. I'm in no rush as usual, but we'll see how it goes.
When you look at their "about" part-it talks about 3 people and not the company itself which is a little odd. They may be much smaller than they appear to be?
I ordered on Feb 9th. I just got an email on Wed my package has shipped. I also received another email with a refund amount. Apparently one of the dies is no longer available. When I checked the tracking info nothing showed up on it moving along on the way to my house until this morning. The usps says it will be delivered on Monday. It just left Phoenix. I also had sent an email and heard nothing back.
I ordered on February 10th and have called several times. They always call me back and stated they were behind because of the computer crash and the holiday. I do love their dies and have more than I probably need, but I would not be feeling very happy if something I ordered shows not available any longer. My first order now shows shipped 16 days later, but my second order is still awaiting fulfillment.
I have emailed them in the past about their products and gotten zero response. But took a chance and placed an order because they had a Nestabilities die set on sale for an amazing price. Placed the order on the 22nd and have only gotten an order confirmation email – not worried yet but luckily I'll only be out $11 if the order never arrives. I do not like dealing with them and will not again.
As someone said above they have never been very quick shippers.....I have been noticing a steady decline in their service and some of their products...I was thinking it was since Stacey and her husband stepped down but it was prior to that I started noticing the decline of things at Spellbinders. I still love and buy a lot of their dies.
I ordered 4 die sets on 2/12 and I got ALL of them today . I called about a week ago to be sure they had my order and Cheryl said they did have my order , but they were seriously behind due to the volume of clearance sale orders and the new Website issues .
I love Spellbinder dies and I didn't mind waiting 17 days to get them considering the clearance prices I paid .

They sent me an email today about an order I placed on 2/21 saying they have not forgotten me and apologizing for the delay. Gave me a discount code for 10% ...which is basically like free ship.
Obviously they are hearing from people about the delay.
Thanks for letting us know how this is going to work. I ordered some clearance items. Not much money so I won't be frothing like a mad dog if it takes 30 for them to ship.
I normally by Spellbinders from other web sites. Just about any site seems to be cheaper than Spellbinder's own site.

Most often when you buy directly from the manufacturer they charge more than their retailers. They do this so they don't undercut their retailers. Cheery Lynn is the same way . It costs more to buy directly from them
Spellbinders decided to give their customers a break and sell the clearance items directly to us. I was doing a "Happy Dance" when I saw the clearance prices .

I got my first shipment of 17 dies (from 2/10/16) last night. I was excited. They have such beautiful dies. About 90% of the dies I own are Spellbinders.

I hope that you have fun with your new dies. I received my order on Monday and it made my day.

I think they ARE much smaller than they let on. I messaged them on Facebook to ask about my order and the person who responded said they only have 2 people doing customer service.
That said, they should have put some kind of notice on the site or in the order confirmation saying shipping would take forever. I ordered 15 days ago and it still hasn't shipped.
If they are refunding people because what they ordered weeks earlier isn't available any longer, that's shameful. It's 2016 and every site should have an inventory system that immediately updates stock as orders are made. Selling more than you have just shouldn't happen.

That's kind of insulting. I might be unhappy with the wait but I am certainly not "frothing like a mad dog". I have been polite the few times I have contacted Spellbinders and most all of the complaints on their FB page from other customers have been as well. People are frustrated though and that's understandable I think.
