Default Spellbinders Basic Lattice Won't Cut Out!

I have tried to cut out my Spellbinders Shapeabilities Basic Lattice and also the Fancy Lattice using my Cuttlebug but have had no luck so far. Have tried a configuration of mixing the B and C plates with the metal adaptor plate, adding cardboard shims, turning the die around but still can not get it to cut out. A friend of mine also tried it on her Cuttlebug machine and had the same problem - can someone please help or offer me some advice. So disappointed that it's not working :(

That die has a very large cutting surface which can sometimes be a problem. It sounds as if you have tried a number of fixes, but still no results.

When using shims to cut any dies that give you trouble, there is a trick to it.
You should only shim under the area that is not cutting. Shimming the entire die is defeating the purpose of the shim.

You will find that the pressure exerted in die cutting machines can vary greatly within the same line. One reason could be the amount you use the machine plus what type of materials you put through yours.

Once you have tried everything to get it to work, I would call Spellbinders customer service. The ladies there are well versed on the use of their dies in other machines. They should be able to help you.

Something else that I've heard works for the intricate dies... run them through once and then rotate the die/paper 90 degrees and run it through a second time.

Using a metal plate is the best solution for intricate dies IMHO. Once I started using one I never have any problems with dies not cutting through.
