Sometimes the SU! catalog just doesn't do justice to an item
I was visiting Sandy's Stampin' Safari following a link I found on SCS http://www.stampinsandy.com/my_weblog/ and just realized that the Punches Plus brass template has dots for paper piercing around each of the punch shapes! I cannot see that feature at all in my catalog so thanks, Sandy, for sharing such a good picture!
Would someone who owns this, including Sandy, tell me how you are using the edges of the template?
I think the catalog's samples could use a good dose of SCS much of the time myself. Can't tell you how many people thought some sets were 'new' in this catalog that were not, but last year's samples were so blah that they never seriously looked at the sets!
I never noticed this either! Thanks so much for pointing it out.

You can say that again!!! I think the stamp images showed up much better when the catalog was printed in black ink instead of the pale grey they're using now. Now that I've seen samples made with the "Stitched Background" stamp I can't wait to order it, but from the picture of it in the catalog I wouldn't have considered it.
I really need to stop reading these forums--every time I do, I find something else "I must have"!!! My DH always asks me if I found out about my new "must have" on "That Splitcoaststampers site"! Thanks for enabling me once again!

Mine too. I love that template and now it's on my must have list.

hi linda--- i'm in jersy right now. but i believe i have this template. when we get home tuesday i will check it out.
Got the catty & magnifier out to look at all the templates in current catty. There is also dots for piercing on the pick a petal template. Have to rethink whether I want any of these templates.
SU is going to wonder why this template is selling so well, all of a sudden. I know I want one now! Thanks for showing us this. This template never really jumped out at me before.
Are you serious!?!?!? I had no idea that template was there. I have been eyeing the "Priceless" template bc it has punch guide for around the swirls... but this one...wow.... useful for so much.
So sure, why not, add another "must have" to the list. You people are baaaaaaaad!

You're not the only one, if that makes you feel better. LOL!
Seriously, I really appreciate the OP sharing this. Off to make a list for my next SU purchase.

Well, haven't I learned something! Not only did I learn about the piercing templates but when I visited stampinsandy's site I learned something to do with all those little empty boxes, that I have been throwing away, that contained glue dots. Thank you lindylou and sandy.
I browse the catty- but have to honestly say- it is SCS that causes most of my purchases! lol- Once I see it here- I just "have to have it"- thanks for sharing- I haven't really paid any attention to those templates before- seems I was really missing out- now where did my order form go this time??? lol
Sure do wish they would bring back the black images in the new catties.
