I really like this saying and would like to own it as a stamp (wood-mounted rubber preferred but would consider cling cushion or high-quality photopolymer if I love the font/style enough). It can be an individual stamp or part of a set. My favorites will go on a wish list I plan to give to DH!
I'm sure many companies offer it but I would like to know your favorite maker of such a stamp so I can see them in one place (kinda). Links, photos, and manufacturer info will all be appreciated as I am hoping DH will be shopping for it!
The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, and the snowflake image is part of the stamp. Their item number for it is C2604. However, I don't know if they still manufacture this stamp. I've had mine for several years (that card I linked is from 2006!). I tried searching for it by item number on the Hero Arts website and came up with nothing. :(
I love the saying too. I'm a big butterfly fan and already have so many. Bought another one today by Inkadinkado that's really pretty. The saying is perfect.
Oh interesting! It appears that Hero Arts took the idea of the woodmounted stamp that I referenced in post #2, changed the font a bit and made it into a clear stamp, and put it in a set with some snowflake images.
Funny, when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about something completely different. Among my friends, I am notorious for using butterflies to cover up any mistake in a card. I thought this winter we were going to cover up our smudges, stains and smears with snowflakes!
i got that one at prickly pear too.....but after i stamped it i noticed that there is no apostrophe on winter's. drove me nuts....had to add a little one with a pen. i will order that hero arts one !
i think i will email them.....they probably just missed it...i sure did when i ordered !

That's a good idea. I think butterflies and snowflakes are pretty "embellishment opportunities"

Good catch ... I didn't notice it at first glance but it would bother me (bumping it toward bottom of list 'coz it's still very lovely).
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be a contraction (Winter's) meaning Winter is. The way I read the sentiment if it needed an apostrophe, it would be after the 's' to indicate possession. Does that make sense? At any rate, I'll just put a jot with a pen at the end of the Winters!
I've been out of school for a very long time, but that is what I remember. Anybody???

Great idea!

Winter's IS possessive - meaning the butterfly belonging to Winter. Winters' would mean winter is plural (more than one winter) and it is also possessive - meaning the butterfly belonging to more than one Winter.
Winter's could also mean winter is - a contracttion - as in "The winter's temperature this year is much colder."
Lol, I never even noticed!! That just goes to show you how observant I am! I'll talk to Nichole about it and let you know.
The butterfly looks really great stamped out in blue or purple encore ink, by the way ;)
Thanks for talking to Nichole and for any future updates.
I bet it looks really pretty in Encore colors; I'll have to add them to my list too (I only have copper, gold and silver). Does the Encore ink still need to be heat-ambossed (with EP) to dry? I remember using it ( several years ago) on a card once and even though I heat set and kept it in my very warm boiler room for about 2 weeks, it still smeared when lightly touched. I still have the same pads but they were packed until recently ... I haven't had a chance to sue them (or reink them if needed).
