Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
So, I'm making the invitations to my son's baseball birthday party - I printed the wording on the computer, cut them with my CM cutting system and am drawing on the baseball seams. Not stamped at all, but so cute I could burst. Should that be put in my gallery even though it isn't stamped?
Thank you! I just looked and figured out the difference between a gallery and an album - I think it just means that the gallery is usually linked to a specific stamp, but an album is linked just to me as the creator of it?
Actually, we welcome a wide variety of paper crafted items and SCS galleries are not restricted to "hand-stamped only" creations!
Please, everyone, feel welcome to upload your creations, hand-stamped or not, to your member gallery, so all of us can enjoy them. You could put them into albums, if you want to keep them organized in some fashion.
Have a splendid evening!

Hi Julie. I have been on this forum for months but I have not started a gallery and want to do so. Can you tell me how to attach a copyright to it? I looked on the Stampin Up site but just do not understand. I love it when when people have their names on them with the Copyright. Help. Thanks.

It is a watermark you are referring to, and is generally made on some sort of photo editing software (i.e. Photoshop ). Somewhere around here there is a thread addressing this specifically. I'll go search for it and post it here.

Also, Splitcoast has attached that little "Some images by Stampin' Up" under each picture. But if you want to add your own info that goes on top of the picture, you will need to make a "watermark" as Valerie said.

Ahem:
Alright, I've been getting a few PMs regarding clarification on this! ;)
Perhaps I spoke too soon, and am in err regarding what is or is not permitted in gallery uploads.
In all honesty, it has been my understanding that paper crafted items, such as cards, scrapbook layouts, and other projects that are specifically related to art stamping or paper crafting, even if non-stamped, were encouraged for uploading to the galleries.
Now, I could see where SCS would have issues with folks uploading hand-crocheted toilet paper covers for the bathroom, or photos of your family, just for the sake of sharing photos of your family, etc. Neither is really related to paper crafting or art stamping; crocheted items are better suited to a needle arts site, and family photos (that are just pictures, and not actually used in the creation of a stamped or paper crafted project) really should be archived at a place like Ofoto or Snapfish, etc.
So . . . please stand by, while I try to figure out exactly where I am in err, or if I am in err, and I'll update. ;)

You got it right Jules... please upload your card!

Be sure to post back here when you are able to upload your card! I checked your gallery earlier and it wasn't there yet; I'm on tenterhooks to see your creation!!!

A few of us who have been bitten by the Cuttlebug would have been kicked out a long time ago, I think, if we could not have non-stamped cards in our galleries.
