Default Selling cards?

I've had friends say that I should sell my cards, does anyone here do that? Are there copyright laws to follow? I'm not sure that I even want to, but have become curious after having more than one person bring it up. Thanks!

I do sell my cards mostly privately at my work but a little local boutique also has some that they mark up and sell.
On the back I use a StampinUp logo stamp along with my signature so if any one turns it over, they see both the words StampinUp and my name. I admit I am not super careful about it, if I use another company product for any part of the card, I don’t have any way of acknowledging them.
I sell on such a small scale, I’m not too concerned about it. Good luck with your decision!

Each company will have an angel policy on its website that spells out how their designs can be used. If you don’t quickly see it on their website, there’s often a link at the bottom of the home page or on the side, or a search can be done on their website.

Or sometimes the easiest way is doing on-line search with the company name and “angel policy.” For example, googling “hero arts angel policy” brings up this link at the top: https://heroarts.com/pages/angel-policy

Thank you! After my post, I did see a thread on this website about various company's angel policies.

I had a good 18 months or so of selling cards but I stopped. Too much pressure for them to be original and perfect, too much time away from my first love --scrapbooking. If a close friend needs a few cards, I will do them but I am over the retail part of it.

My friends have suggested the same thing but since I mix stamps from various companies on cards, I don't want to deal with looking up every angel policy or adding info to the back of the cards.

It's not only stamp companies. I have this vague recollection that I heard Cuttlebug- is it Provocraft- would not allow any of their folders to be used on cards being sold. Actually just Googled, and came up with this thread from SCS, going back to 2009.

Circuit/Provocraft’s angel policy (tap/click on the word “Legal.”)
Legal Some of their products use incensed images from Disney, for example, and those couldn’t be used.

I used to sell cards on etsy. Two of the companies I use regularly I emailed and received written authorization to sell a limited amount of cards with their stamps, as it wasn't stated in their policy therefore I had to ask.

That said, I sort of quit selling cards as it's gotten too stressful. I'm too much of a perfectionist to let any type of imperfection go through when I sell my cards and I stressed about having them packaged perfectly as well. Maybe if I were to sell them locally it wouldn't be such a big deal to me.
