Yesterday I pulled out an old stamping book and it was loaded with samples made from PSX stamps. Very nostalgic for some long-gone companies today. Great score for you!

I don't often find actual stamps, but I do find ribbon, buttons, stuff with charms, etc that I can put to use with my card-making. I love the thrill of the hunt as much as anything so I'm a die-hard thrift store, garage-sale, and ding and dent grocery store shopper. Congrats on the find.

Me too. I don't find stamps (that I'd use) very often, but that once-in-a-while find is enough to keep looking!
Back in the early 2000's when my sons were in college, there was a Goodwill over by their townhouse in a little college town here in Maryland. My hubby and I stopped in one day, and there was a little zip lock baggie full of stamping stuff. One was a PSX stamp of an angel. I often see this stamp for sale on ebay, and it usually runs around $20. I love this stamp. Also in the baggie was a little pair of sizzors that has a ruler measurement running down the blades! I've never seen another pair like them. It is fun to find things at thrift shops. I love browsing thru them too! Congrats on your find!
The "hunt" is often a nice little adventure. Occasionally our Tuesday Morning has a few possibilities, and our local charity organization runs a great thrift shop with occasional great shabby finds.
I heart thrift stores. My little treasure troves. The other day my DH found me a Speedball Brayer brand new in package for only $2.00. It's one of the old ones with the beautiful metal handle.
Found some great bargains at the thrift store today: at the first store I got the big bag of vintage buttons for $3 and at the second, a scrapbook, 2 sheets of stickers, adhesive ribbon, 10 yds each of the nautical ribbon and 20 yds of the ivory organdy for a total of $5!!! I'm so excited. I also found a brand new dress that I think is going to work for my mother-of-the-bride dress for my daughter's fall wedding!
Wow! Great score. The buttons alone were a score of the year. Thrift stores have caught on how popular buttons are and now charge highway robbery for them. Least the thrift stores in my town do.
This is an "independent" little thrift store...just a couple of cranky ladies who run the place which has an attached kitchen where they serve free meals. Their prices are usually pretty good and definitely less than the "chain thrift stores". When I started looking through the bag I got excited....there are some REALLY pretty buttons in there.

Awesome scores! The buttons look awesome. I love vintage buttons.

Those are my favorite kind of thrift stores. I try to avoid the chain thrift stores. In my town the chain thrift stores charge WalMart prices. Some of the independent ones are picking up on that too. I love hunting for independent thrift stores. My favorite items I have bought come from independent stores.
I laughed about the cranky ladies. It's not a good thrift store unless you have those cranky ladies, lol.
