Scavenger Hunt for Stamped Images - Help please
I want to make an ABC book for my kids and my niece and nephews (3 books). I have quite a few stamped images, but I don't have anything for a few letters.
If you have something in your collection that starts with one of these letters, could you please stamp it (3x) and send it to me? Just PM me for my address.
Letters that I need images for:
I
J
K
M (I have a monkey, but I would like one more thing)
N
O
Q
U (I have the ukulele in "Do the Hula", but I would like one or two more)
V
W (I have a wagon and watermelon, but I think I need one more)
X
Y
Z (I have a zebra, but that's all)
So, I'm looking for kangaroos, umbrellas, unicorns, xylophones...
Are you cutting the images out or do you need 1/4 sheets? I think I have a unicorn stamp. I'll check and let you know. PM me if you want the unicorn image.
QUESTION... What size images do you want? Or, what size pages are you using in the book? 12x12 album? 8.5x11 notebook? smaller album?
I have hundreds of stamps. I could supply at least a few images for you, if I know what size book you are working on.
I don't have any of these stamps but thought I would throw some ideas your way.
Letters that I need images for:
I ice cream, igloo, ice skate, island
J jar, jack o lantern,
K kite, knight, key
M moon, mooe, map, mouse, mitten
N notebook, nail,
O orange, olive, onion
Q queen, quilt
U umbrella, unicycle
V violin, vase, violets, valentine
W waves, water, whale, watch
X
Y yo yo,
Z zipper,

I am just planning to cut the images out so I can layer them however is best on an 8.5 x 11 or 8x8 page. I haven't been shopping yet for the books. I think I prefer 8.5x11. It doesn't matter what size your stamp is unless it's bigger than 4x4 because I'm hoping to include pictures of the kids, the capital and lower case letters, and possibly a verse or poem that starts with that letter.
2littleboys, thanks for all of the ideas! My secret sis saw this and e-mailed me some clever ideas, too. I love how helpful everyone is on this site!
Ok, stampgirljo who is my sister in real life! I said "my kids". I just want to get one ready for your little papoose coming soon, too!
J-Jack-o-Lantern from Trick or Treat or from Festive Four
M-Mitten from Flaky Friends
O-Ornament from Stipple Celebrations
W-Watering can from Garden Pleasures, Window from Little Hellos, and watermellon from Little Somethings. I could also put a square from Around and About around the watermellon since it is kind of small.
Let me know if this would help you!!

My secret sis saw my post and sent me some images along with a card and bookmark that she made. How wonderful is that?!
Thank you to everyone who saw my post and responded. I'm so excited about getting mail. My sister has Roughing It and it has a knot and knife, so I now have 3 K images (kite from secret sister). Yeah!
Jessica, my sister has Love Ya Bunches, so I have the wheelbarrow and plenty of W's.

Sharon, I got the stamps. I'm sorry for the double PM - I couldn't remember and forgot to check my sent items folder.
The unicorns are perfect and the others are wonderful too.
Do you still need X? I did a 6x6 ABC page swap and used the Fun with Shapes set to make Xylophones. I also used Bitty Boos and Smorgasborders to make little Xrays.
Here is the link to my "X" page: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
And the link to all the pages incase you need inspiration or ideas: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I would be happy to stamp something and send it along...
The book is an album in Darttella's gallery (you should be able to get there) - she hosted the swap and if you check it out, you will find some of the cutest ABC pages by everyone!!

Someone put me onto the idea in the swaps section. It sounds like fun, but I think I want my pages to have the same look and feel. Anyway, if you just want to make one letter 27 times, you can find a swap here on SCS...
