Lucky her and you! I never get my hard copy very early. They come with our montly magazine in one of those plastic sleeves and I've heard that those really slow stuff down, like take longer to get through the post office. I got my monthly mag by itself last month the day after it posted online which is really fast for the mid west. This one will take a lot longer I assume. Oh well:-) I'm already making and remaking my list!!! And it's getting longer and longer, *sigh*. I need to wait for some things for SAB and get freebies though!!!!!
And that poem is too funny:-)
I think the PO reads my stuff. I usually seem to get it later than the others in my area.
Oh, that's too bad! Is there any way your group would be willing to delay putting the order in? I know I used to finagle my club so that the 2-month SAB would cover three club orders, just by ordering one month late, one month early, one month late, lol!
Everyone is so excited. You all remind me of kids waiting for Santa Claus!
Twas the month before the mini release, when all through the thread
Not a customer was patient, not even the demo head.
The ink pads were stored in the color caddy,
In hopes that Stampin Up soon would release its new adie.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of new punches danced in their moms heads.
Bound4london in her stamping apron, pedalpower, her bike nearby
Shook at their craft tables, waiting for time to fly by.
When out on the SplitCoast there arose such chatter,
Sue Alt hobbled to her computer to see what was the matter.
Using Windows 7, she typed in a flash,
Skipping Buy/Sell and General Stamping, to the sale-a-bration thread she did dash.
Muscrat, Sprtchick and Lazorky did not know
If they could wait for the new catty to show.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
Stampingoddess with a stack of occasion minis right near.
I ran out of creativity juice before I finished the poem or got everyones names listed in it. And Sue, I hope you weren't offended by the hobbling. I recently had surgery and have only been walking upright (as opposed to like a cavewoman) this past week!
That does mean it won't be during January club (that is early in the month) -- and means won't be during my hostess month of club either.
; (
Happy NOW! Checked in with demo and her plan is to hold the January club orders to send in when SAB starts so we all get the $$ spent (especially since a new mini) to count toward SAB selections. Whoo Hoo!

Great for you guys! SU changes up the dates ever so slightly each year for whatever reason. Maybe just to keep us guessing haha!
I heard that demos have the catalog now...My inbox is empty!!
:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Unfortuantely not all of us have our "hard copy" of the SAB mini, but we've all been able to view it online since last Monday. This monring was the day we could place our preorders from the Occasions Mini and the SAB mini-
For the demos the big news was that we could get free SAB sets now based on our preorder sales. In the past if we wanted them early to create samples for our wonderful customers we had to buy them-we could only get them free during the regular SAB period, same as the customers. Thus this new change is a big bonus for us demo types
There must be something wrong with me because I didn't see anything that makes my heart pound, gives me a thrill shiver, or even piques my interest. :-(

I'm not blown away, but I'm not nearly as disappointed with it as I was with the previous SAB. I got NOTHING from that one. We still have the 2012 Occasions Mini to wonder about!
It used to be that the freebies from SAB were so enticing that you bought loads from the catalog. Now they've made the SAB items more of an afterthought in the hopes you'll spend a lot of money on the Occasions mini anyway. They'd be better off changing SAB by making it a decent discount off your total order with free shipping. I might order then.
Boy ..am I ever glad that I got a look before Christmas. There really isn't a thing that I would 'save' my money for..so I can do more shopping in the Holiday Mini. Whooohoo..
So isn't there going to be any of those regular sets you will be able to substitute if you don't want the SAB items? Usually there is a big list on the back page of the SAB catty, but I didn't really see anything like that.

Actually that isn't really a usual thing. It only came about in the last couple of years. Before that there were only 6 sets we could earn and before that only 4 so I think we still get good choices. There are a few regular catalog sets you can earn this year and I think it's better this way. Many customers were confused and overwhelmed with all the choices when they did the regular catty sets.

Thanks Minders...I've only been shopping SU for the past two years, so I don't know anything before that. I do like the choices, but was just curious if they would offer regular catty stuff as well.
I'm a fairly new demo, but long-time customer and am thrilled with the new Mini - I turned down the corner of over half the pages. The SAB is good too, I liked 2 of the stamps sets a lot and LOVE the new paper and goodies that go with it. Sometimes when I don't think a stamp set is too good, I just haven't seen any good samples made with it. I hope there are lots of samples in the gallery soon.
Love, love, love the SAB offerings. The DSP is gorgeous. The brads and ribbon pack, I love that. And the Fresh Vintage, Elementary Elegance sets love those. The rest are really great too but those are my favorites. I will be getting as much of the DSP as I can.
The Occasions mini is just gorgeous. Absolutely no complaints here. They hit it out of the ballpark.

There is regular catalog merchandise available this year too. It's actually pictured in the brochure instead of just listed in the back. There are some stamp sets as well as buttons, fabric, embossing folders, cardstock and a Simply Sent kit.
I love the Designer Series Paper, Brads and new Ribbon!! I have 2 packs of each on the way with my preorder and did I mention CD's? 2 CD's for My Digital Studio in this Sale-a-bration catalog. As for the Occasions Mini - I want it all and that is not usually the case. Can't wait for my order to arrive later this week so I can play.
I love the Fresh Vintage stamp set in the SAB catalog and the DSP is really nice! There are items from the Idea Book in the SAB catalog that you can get for free too. I think having the list in the back was very confusing since the items numbers were different. I heard a lot of people comment that it was too hard to have to flip back to the main catalog to see what the stamp sets looked like so I like it that they actually show the pictures.
Sometimes when I don't think a stamp set is too good, I just haven't seen any good samples made with it. I hope there are lots of samples in the gallery soon.
This is often the case with me, too. I don't have enough creative juice to picture what wonderful things can be done with a stamp, or more often, a die.
I'm tickled with the SAB choices - beautiful paper and accessories, a couple sets I want, and it's great that there are so many types of items from the regular catty!
I totally LOVE the selection of SAB items this year! So many different things to choose from...if you have plenty of stamp sets you can get paper, embellishments even an embossing folder! Something for everyone! I see nothing to complain about that's for sure. How many big box stores give away free anything (and SU gives us lots of choices!) with only a $50 purchase??
And I agree that once I start seeing samples popping up in the gallery I will see more that I will have to have!
The samples in the gallery are always a huge help when I decide which SAB sets I want--last year, I thought I knew what I wanted, but after looking in the gallery, I completely changed my mind and ended up getting sets I actually use
I LOVE the paper, stamp set, and accessories that were created new for SAB this year. The stuff from the regular catalog I know I could buy, so there isn't as much urgency. Still, I think it's nice that they gave such a wide variety so there is something to appeal to everyone. And after seeing the new mini, I know there are plenty of things I'll want to buy to earn what I like!!
This SAB mini makes me sooooooo happy, I love everything in it especially the DSP. Last year didn't do anything for me but I will get everything in this offering. And I hope to get the special tote bag too, LOVE IT!!!!

Yeah there have been a number of changes in the past five years or so. I just wanted to give a bit of perspective:-) I remember the four choice days, lol! This is so much better and I have to agree that it was confusing and annoying to have to find all those small sets in the catty the past few years. It always confused my customers (who are pretty smart cookies, lol).
There are a few regular catalog choices IN the SAB catalog. They are just kind of mixed in there with the exclusive stuff. I think it's pretty cool that you can get stuff besides stamp sets like the buttons and embossing folder! Too bad I just got one of each and not for free, lol!
I also remember when the SAB stamps were purple rubber, hehe! Did you know they were colored?
