I need help resizing an image of a card I scanned. I have an HP1315, and the photo program I have is, Microsoft Picture It! Photo Premium 9. I have scanned a few cards and they are about 372KB! Both the scanner and the program are new, so I am all thumbs!
You might try opening the picture in your picture program and then clicking on EDIT (probably across the top left-hand side of the page) and see if there is a RESIZE option.
I just did this and now I have a cute avatar...even if it is my sis's cat!
When you originally scan the card, try scanning it at a lower resolution- try 72 or 75 DPI.
I haven't used Picture It, but look under edit and see if there's a resize option...if I were a programmer, that's where I'd put it.
Compression is a good thing, too, but it won't change the actual size of the picture, just the file size (does that make any sense?). It's like taking a pillow and squeezing all of the air out....it's still a pillow, just a flatter pillow of the same size.
I resized 2 photos, using paint, to get them to 640 x 480 pixel for the gallery...the problem is one resized properly and the other jsut has a corner of the picture now...what do I do?????
