I just start at the top and just squeeze it out going back and forth then I just let it set for awhile before I use it so it will soak up some. I really don't think there is any certain way to do it just make sure you cover most of it.

I went to a show in '98 and the Demonstrator told us a little goes a long way. You just need 3-5 drops. I do 3 but my sister has pointed out that the a few of those pads were still dry. I think I will increase to 4 drops and see if that makes a difference. I am all about stretching my dollar.

If you work zigzag style from top to bottom and then from side to side gently squeezing as you go you should get a 'good' coverage. Then take a plastic teaspoon or one of your stamps and rub this over the surface of the pad to distribute the ink. Always works for me.
