Default Question about ink pads

Hi. I have some stamp pads that stamp very light. Dumb question here but does that usually mean reinking is in order? And how much ink do you put on the pad? My pads are about a year old with hardly any use and then I have some of the old style ones (that I bought used) that stamp great. So I don't know - what's up with that? Anybody else have the same problem or is it my prolem.

Thanks.

Diana

Which colors are they? Some of the Soft Subtles colors are very faint no matter what, simply because they are pastels. If the problem ink pads are darker, though, then it sounds like reinking is in order. My demo is giving me her almost empty Positively Pink reinker, and she said that it should be good for one reinking. Haven't seen it, but I'm guessing it's probably about 1/4 full.

Does Denver have a relatively dry climate? That would contribute to your pads drying out after only a year or so of light use. If this is the case, I'd recommend Googling "ink refresher". If the pad is dry from evaporation and not use, then the pigment is still there and just needs to be remoistened.
