Default putting together a list of what we would like to see in the 06/07 catalog.lets start

I want to start a list now for next years catalog of what people want to see in the 06/07 catalog rather than we all wait until 2 months before it comes out. This way once we have a list of all the things we want then SU can take a look at this in the next upcoming months and hopfully get going on what we would like to see.since it will be too late if we wait until the last minute to do this.

I think we should also post some sets that should be retiring if there are overdue.

I would like to see a family set with mom.dad, son, daughter, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin, gran dmother, grandfather, then to go along with that a stamp that would read and a space left blank to fill any of these in the space.this way we can make a card an secify it to that person.

to a special
Mom (example)this would be a blank line to fill this in.
on Her or His
Birthday.

some more stamp sets I would like to see.
a walk for cancer sets and have a ribbon that can be stamped with the color of the cause like pink for breast cancer.etc etc. A lot of people are doing walks for certain causes and I think we should have a stamp set with a saying that can be used to go along with these cancers.people do walk and take pictures of these fund raisers. So a set would be great to go with it.

Also individual sports set.like a soccer set,T-ball ball/baseball.basketball more kid related.etc etc.

months of the year written out in full like January,February.ETC ETC.FOR THOSE OF US WHO MAKE YEARLY CALENDARS.and borders to on the pages for swaps.

days of the week.sun.mon tues.etc etc.
year stamp from 2005 through 2010.

sympathy stamp sets.some of us ladies have been with SU for a long time and have friends that are getting older and we need to have a couple of symapthy sets.

this is just a start for me.hope you all will join in here and get a list going for NEXT YEARS CATALOG ADN NOT WAIT UNTIL 2 MONTHS BEFORE IT COMES OUT BEFORE PUTTING A LIST TOGETHER.

A stamp set that looks like you sewed the paper, more patterned papers by color groups. Also maybe some accessory sets that include brads, shaped and regular, eyelets, clips, ets in colors- like the hodgepodge sets. And a Xyron machine!! I love mine and use it for my self, but would love to use it for workshops and stamp camps. They are great for vellum..

Red face What We Want

This is a great idea!

I love the idea for the "To _______ on her Birthday" idea.
I also love the year stamp ideas. I bought a little 2005 stamp at a local stamp store, and I have been stamping it on the back of all of my cards (along with the hand stamped by. I love having it dated!

I would like to see a new flamingo set. My sister is a flamingo fanatic, but the last set was too cheesy, and I didn't buy it. I don't want the flamingo with a Hawaiian lei, or with a shirt, or with sunglasses. I wanted to make her a set of coasters, and she wanted to stamp on her bedroom wall, but we just didn't like the old flamingo set.

I would also love a new wedding set. I'd like a formal bride and groom, a nice wedding cake to watercolor, a nice sentiment to stamp inside, etc.

I don't know if this has been done, but I'd like a large set of numbers (maybe 2 inches). My sister was doing table numbers for a girl scouting event. We ended up buying a 2 inch stencil, trying to get versamark through the stencil onto the cardstock (without getting the next number inked) and then embossing. Big numbers would be good!

I like the idea of a sympathy set. It is an unfortunate need.

Also, from the mini, I want the tag alphabet to make it!

A stamp set with martini glasses, marg, wine etc. More birthday sayings esp for kids. A background stamp of an old world map. A sample pack of ribbon and a sample pack for neutral cs and special paper like they do with the 48 colors.

I think I will try to add to my list as I think of new things. It is hard to remember everything I want at one time!

A soccer set with both boy and girl figures
More sports set similar to Have a Ball
A better computer type of set
An airplane set
At least one more sympathy set!!!
Sentiment sets that are smaller and more affordable (like the ones in the minis)

More masculine sets
A middle school/high school set (I don't like the current one in the mini!)
A St. Patrick's day set (I'm Irish American)
An Ice skating set (for my friend)
A stamping/scrapbooking set
More Fall sets
Summer sets that are two stamping or solid images (don't have to be colored)
More Crayon kids type of sets
Sets like the old Rainy days, Beach Babies, Fall for All, contemporary

More colors of ribbon,
more patterns (like dots, etc) of ribbon
Eyelets in more colors
More scrapbooking designer papers and scrappin' kits
More vellum
More colors of glitter!

our timeworn/specialty collection available in bulk of certain papers. At least on a demo order so that we don't have to buy multiple packs for the one design we like and want to use in a camp or make and take

I think Monkey Busines should go in! I also want a huge background stamp with thank you written in many different languages ( sent this idea to SU). I also want a set like everyday expressions but bigger stamps.

Great thread!

1. Specific sports sets: one for hockey, one for basketball, one for football, etc.
2. Something/anything martial arts.
3. More "hand stamped" sentiments (stuff to put on the backs of cards), like, "when email just isn't good enough...", "I cared enough to hand-stamp it!", "if you knew how hard I worked on this card, you'd never throw it away," etc.

Most SU folk (company folks, that is) are Mormon. I highly doubt if you will ever see this! LOL!

Love the idea of a multi pack for neutrals!!
I totally agree on the sympathy! I still have a retired one and I have to rely on that when I send a sympathy card, which is alot of the time.

I agree with more vintage/collage sets. I'd also love to see some textured card stock. I LOVE textures! Not just always smooth surfaces. And loved the suggestion of being able to purchase the specialty papers separately.

A blank postage stamp set complete with a masking template to do the faux postage stamps...

A sewing type set with the ribbons and stitches (like the HA set), realistic buttons and pins - inc. safety pin to do scrapbook pages without the bulk...

A silent setter...

Tag punches in different sizes...

Agree with the sampler of ribbon. I love that SUs ribbon is so long, but it will take me forever to use it -- I'd rather have a smaller sample of more colours...

More penguin pals sets (where did those guys go?)...

Oh, I could go on...

Definitely more masculine and kids' sets. I make a lot of cards for my son's friends' birthdays.

There are lots of sets that could be adapted for girls but very few for boys. I would love a really good soccer set, as nearly all my son's male friends love soccer.

I too want to see textured card stock like Brazzil.

Also things like Walnut Inks to "age" our cards.

I would like to have the watercolor crayons be available in color categories so we can try them out in the colors we use the most and not have to invest so much at one time.

Tag punches that allow us to layer.

A classy Jewish set Star of David, Kiddish Cup, Tallit, Dreidel, and especially a Sukkah.

I DESPERATELY want a good 4th of July set! One with fireworks, flags, and some good patriotic sayings. My DH and sons go crazy on the 4th and I always have many 4th pictures. I also would like:

a good Happy Anniversary set
soccer and basketball sets
a school set (I know, there's a good one in the fall mini but I can't buy anything right now, so I hope they bring it back in the next big catty)
a better kids at play type set, I don't like the one they have now
more food sets

I would also like to buy the neutral paper in assorted packs, instead of having to buy 40 sheets of each color. This is handy for the whites and black, but I don't need 40 sheets of going gray!

More eyelet and brad colors and way more gingham ribbon colors

I am very happy with the color changes that SU made this year, but I still would really like a pale aqua color, like tempting turquoise as a soft subtle. I would also like a pale seafoam green, a little like mint melody, but toned WAY DOWN.

That's all I can think of for now.

Here's what I'd like to see:
- more masculine and boys sets
- Another Shapes and Shadows sets with different shapes
- smaller sentiment sets (ie: Sincere Salutations and Mixed Greetings & Much Appreciated)
- A couple different wedding/anniversary sets
- a nice Sympathy set
- different Handstamped stamps that fufill the copyright obligations
- sets with teen stuff (not cutesy like Girlfriends)
- More Fall/Halloween sets

Ok Charming Children has to go! Those kids give me the creeps!

I'd really like to see more....

Inside sayings that could can be used for kids, teens and adults but just more of a variety.
Also stamps to make cards more personalized such as Mother, Father, Grandmother, Brother..etc..
More Thanksgiving, St Patrick's Day, Anniversary and Masculine and Teen sets.

I think that's it! LOL

Love the idea of a background stamp with "thank you" in different languages.

I would like to see sentiments in simpler writing - some of the present ones are so elaborate.

Less cutesy, cheesy, or cartoonish, more real.

Love the idea of patterned cardstock.

More animals, particularly the faces - cats, dogs, horses, etc.

More guy stuff, such as some of the vintage sets.

Great thread!

Lightbulb *Wish List*

The #1 thing I'd like to see in the new catty is the ability to buy the eyelets and brads in INDIVIDUAL colors!

I also want more colors in the gingham ribbon....a nice Yo Yo Yellow would be at the top of my list right now! I can't find it ANYWHERE!

I also want more masculine stamps, a NICE sympathy set with better verses.

And can we Pretty Please with Sugar on top, bring back Meow Meow and Bow Wow! Those were the only cute critter set & I want them!

I must say that after reading your wish lists, I would have to agree with most everything else on there.

Summer sets that are two stamping or solid images (don't have to be colored)
More Crayon kids type of sets (But maybe a smaller set that is under $25, my customers have complained about the price of the crayon sets.)
Sets like the old Rainy days, Beach Babies, Fall for All, contemporary

More colors of ribbon,
more patterns (like dots, etc) of ribbon
Eyelets in more colors
More scrapbooking designer papers and scrappin' kits (Absolutely)
More vellum (I 2nd that! No choices any longer for vellum.)
More colors of glitter! (Definitely we need color!)
Xyron machine (I use mine all the time...)

I will add more as I think of them! Who is going to forward this list to SU!?? Great thread!
Ditto, I am on the save wave length with you so, I borrowed your list and I am adding more...

Bring back:

Shrink Plastic (never saw the point of it disappearing anyway)

Scrapbook Choices (we need some more ours are so limited)

Paper Clips (in colors, like we heard the rumors of b/f 05/06 release)

More religious and sympathy stamp sets...

I find a desparate need for stamp sets with more prayers and more geared for card makers that are sending to their church families. I need them and my customers are looking for them.

A Cancer Set that is not seasonal but stays in the catty. We could still have the yearly set but in addition a permanent set in the catty.

Secret Sister/Friend Stamp Set

There are so many that I think of all the time. I am sure that I will be back with more ideas.

So should we compile a list and sign our names to it and have it sent several times to SU!? I am willing...A petition of sorts. LOL

Great thread...Thanks for sharing.

OK, so I see several lists now that I agree with...

It would be so nice if more of our accessories were available in smaller color groups or more individual colors so that we are not forced to buy in quatity but in colors.

Here's a few more...

Paper Cutters (we need more than one option)

Silent Setter (desparately)

Tools that can be purchased individually.
I realize that SU! would rather make sell in a set (more money of course) but this totally defeats the purpose if customers and demos alike purchase elsewhere due to the price!

Face it ladies we are always going to want/need more! We could probably find a need for such a list forever. But it never hurts to suggest. SU! does consider all suggestions at least thats what I have heard...

How about a stapler with colored staples to match SUs 48 colors! That'd be awesome!( It seems that there were rumors about this one a while back)

A large stencil alphabet would be really cool!

More scrapbook selections!

Tag punches...I totally agree!

More gingham ribbon colors would totally rock!

A new large paisley stamp, or maybe a build a paisley two-step stamp set(wouldn't that be cool?)

Don't forget, all you demos out there. Send your ides to SU!

Great thread:

Unfortunately a good sympathy set it on the top of my list.

I agree with the fill in the blank set...similar to Anna Griffin

More Jumbo wheels, more jumbo wheel color cartridges,

Tag punches for sure...that matte...similar to CM circle/square

I would like:

--A set simliar to EFP but with 'fun' words (ie. sassy, trouble, giggle, naughty, etc)

--More ribbon....this is a must!!! Polka dots, strips, gingham, etc..

--Animal sets like the hodgehogs, penguins, turtles...stuff like that.

--A zoo set would be great!!!

--More holiday sets

This is an awesome idea!!! Way to go!!!

Things I would love to see in the new catty??? Hmmm, now that I am challenged to sit down and write down everything I have thought everytime I've opened that catty.....this will be a challenge.

For starters:

-AGREE-tag punches, many sizes and the ability to layer..definately

-AGREE-more masculine sets (i have to convince hubby that i will get him something too)

-AGREE-more sympathy sets and verses, the current one in the book isn't exactly for sympathy

-AGREE-nice formal wedding set

-would like to see a professional set...something that can be used to make professional thank yous or other cards that may be given around the office or other professional places. Don't get me wrong I love the cutesy sets but wouldn't mind a set that isn't

-HORSE HOOF roller!!! Not sure if SU has ever had one but I would really like one!

-to have them release their rollers without all the fillers, I ordered the paw tracks and I'm not that crazy about all the filler they've put in, it makes the roller busy-looking

-must be the canadian in me but a HOCKEY SET, would be great!

-I am a roller fanatic and would love it if they would offer the cartridges (both standard and jumbo) in sets like they do stamp pads!!

-love that they have listed all the rollers at the end of the catty so they are all in one place

I agree with everything else that has been suggested so far.

Well that's it so far, but definately when I pick up the catty again, I'll have a pen and paper within arms reach!

Eyelets in the other 4 Bold Brights and Soft Subtles! I'd like the other 8 Earth Elements and Rich Regals, too, but I REALLY want those last 4 BB's!!
ITA with most of the other suggestions, esp. the tag punches and the "fun phrases"

Kate (who'll be on her third year of wishing this this year)

Definitely agree we need a new sympathy set, and I miss the older "shelf" sets that came with stamps of things to decorate and personalize them with (remember Decorator Shelf, Wildflowers, and Wood Shelf Borders?) I'd also like to see updated versions of the old "Love Bakes," and the Country Hutch and Old fashioned stove, where you could cut the doors & drawers open and put (stamp) things in - those were so much fun! Ahh, memories...anyhow, thanks for getting this started!

I'm with Glittergal on the "memories" of the old stamp sets. Some of them were just awesome, and so many new demos and customers didn't get to enjoy them. I loved the kids in the Rainy Days, Beach Babies, etc. sets. I don't like the ones we have now with the sticks for legs. Love the idea of more sets geared to sending cards to church family members. I also agree that we haven't had a good pet set since Bow Wow and Meow (I have both and love them). I LOVED the old Wildflower set. It was so versatile. More hedgehogs and penguins would be great. Those were so cute. Gingham ribbon in yellow, orange, green galore would be awesome, too! I LOVE the heritage/vintage sets. It would be great to be able to get replacements for watercolor crayons and pencils. Great thread!

I agree...more masculine, my problem is the men in my life are cerebral, so the "normal" stuff doesn't work for me.

Love the ide for a map background -- would love one by SU because it would be full size!

Totally agree on the smaller greeting sets. I don't own any AYC's (thankfully my mom is a demo, so I get to borrow a lot ). But I have purchased sincere sentiments and the retired Bold & Basic which I use a lot!

And definitely second the "Thanks" background in different languages, as long as it isn't as large (font size) as the word by word (which I love, only because I've cut mine all up )

My additions:

-- a book set -- not a cheesy cutesy one either, but something showing books without readable titles stacked, or open, or like that

-- An "I'm Sorry" sentiment!

-- A Thanksgiving set (I personally don't like the new style I'm seeing, as the Thanksgiving set from the mini is done)

Well, I for one need more punches. We need a circle punch that's the correct size for alphadots, I was so dissapointed when I bought the 1/2 " one and it's not big enough. It works, but not the way I wanted it to. We also need more layering punches. Maybe a punch to fit the new large alphabets and then layer behind it.

Every year I hope they come out with a good Christmas set with scripture in it, they never do. :( It would be really nice to have a religious Christmas set that has an actual verse, not just a sentiment.

I agree, more patterned ribbon is a great idea too!
