Can anyone give me pointers on printing on cardstock? Is SU cardstock too heavy? I want to print journaling for scrap pages and don't know where to start. What websites allow me to download different fonts? Any advice/tips will be appreciated. Thanks!
SU! won't go thru my printer. It is the kind where the paper has to bend back on itself, and SU! gets stuck every time. Georgia Pacific works fine tho.
It really depends on your printer. If the printer flips paper to run it through you may have a problem. I have the Canon pixma and haven't had any problems with any type of cardstock yet, including SU.
You can also do an internet search for "free fonts". I've done that and gotten some cool ones but it's been so long, I can't remember the sites.
I have a canon printer and sometimes I find the ink smears easily on the SU! cardstock because it's so smooth. I've been using the PaperTrey white paper for printing, but I bet the Georgia Pacific would work well too.
I print on cardstock all the time. Pick a font, type it out and print it out on your regular printer paper. Make sure it is the right size, adjust it if neccesary and then I cut a piece of cardstock slightly bigger than the journaling and tape it on to the printer paper sheet. You can hold it up to the light to see if you have it lined up correctly and then just run it through like you would normally. Peel it off the printer paper and trim it. Voila!
I find that my SU cardstock will go through my HP inkjet printer with a little help. It won't go through my HP laserjet (well maybe once in a while but it usually just frustrates me and I give up.)
However, when I do get it to go through my laserjet, I find it leave a nasty grayish film over the entire sheet of cardstock. So it isn't true white anymore.
Oh, and I use www.dafont.com for free fonts. I really like that site.
I have an epson printer. There is an option to choose for whether you're printing regular paper or card stock. Don't some printers have a tension adjustment so you can make the card stock go through easier?

I have the same printer. Works great for me too (don't try to use little pieces though, or you'll be in there with tweezers later :lol. Here are some links to free font websites that I like.
I have a Canon and a HP printer and both take SU pretty good... I guess it does depend on your printer.
CTMH cardstock is thinner than SU, and some of the colors coordinate with SU... you might want to give that a try, if you don't want to purchase a new printer! ;)
I have a brand new Kodak..not sure what the model is. It is an all in one. I print on SU cardstock just fine. I usually let it sit for awhile once it comes out so the ink can dry entirely. I also use the GP white with no problems.
Blessings.

I have some links on my blog to sites with free fonts. Type fonts in the search bar at the top left of the page to do a search that will bring up the entries.
