Wow...ladies some of these really are ugly...hope some one who wants to wins...lol... I usually throw away the evidence before someone can see it. Very cute thread...
This has been a week to remember!! Nothing but one ugly card after another. I swear someone waved their 'ugly wand' while I was sleeping and wiped away all my color sense!
I've uploaded 6 of my disasters. There were several others that simply went into the trash. There was nothing to salvage lol
I've really enjoyed sharing everyone else's pain while browsing at all the posts. Can't say I agree that they're 'all' ugly though.

Just wanted to say that I haven't laughed so much in a long time ..... some of these cards are absolutely butt ugly ....... in the kindest possible way ...
HOWEVER ....... I peed my pants laughing at Bluebears 'metal' ugly !!! Tooo toooo funny !!!
ok, i have a question for you so-called bad card makers. i think i do a decent job decorating the outside of cards, using ribbon, embellishments, stamps, fabrics, etc but when you open it up it looks like a 1st grader decorated it!! i need some ideas for the insides, pLeaSe!!
ummmm, I'm too embarrassed to upload mine. The colors are horrid. I was trying match ribbon. It is certainly the most ugly display of uncraftiness ever!
I've given most of what I consider my "ugly" cards to my son to make them "better". At least I like them once he's done with them so it's not a total waste.

That's actually quite nice! C'mon, you can make something uglier than that, can't you?
Here is mine. It received one comment (thank you Rainy!) The recipient loved it, so I guess that's all that matters, but it's certainly my pinkest card to date!

I have just spent two hours laughing until I cried, reading this thread. It is so funny! I highly recommend you read it all (though unfortunately some of the links no longer work), but just in case you don't have two hours to spend getting your face and stomach to hurt from laughing so hard, here are a few of the must-see posts (read the posts and click the links in them):
Don't miss:
#1, Stargirl's original post - a great opening
#5 Bluebear's tinfoil rose (read all the comments in the link also)
#12 Katrs5 - especially her second link

A few more funny highlights (I quit too soon in my previous list):
Posts:
#149 toilet paper layers
#152 even web designers have off days
#345 especially the chicken card in the last link
#357 responding to the chicken card
Even after reviewing these posts, I still vote for the first one that totally made me laugh out loud: Bluebear's foil. The roses themselves look amazingly good--it's just the mass of foil ("shiny" "different") surrounding them that is so funny, along with the wide foil band and the very purple greeting. All in all, a priceless work of art. And Bluebear's humor throughout this thread is great. I also love the hovering UFO teapots (as someone called them), fine on their own, but just not quite grounded on the card.
I dunno, while the tinfoil is, well, tin...I think the coloring on the rose is too good for it to win "UGLIEST" overall...there were some REALLY UGLY cards in here! LOL

Ok, when I first clicked on the is said "this image has been permanently removed". I thought, "Man, it MUST be bad" lol
Bwahahahaha! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
I wasn't "around" when this thread was started, but I've enjoyed skimming it! Your ability to laugh at yourself is great, ladies! I'm not quite brave enough to share my disasters! ;)
I immediately destroy the evidence or give it to my mother-in-law to use. She doesn't throw away anything, I think she has been using the same piece of aluminium foil since 1952.
I needed a laugh today and figured this (old favorite) thread would work. Sure enough, it did. I thought this thread deserved to be revived. Thanks to stargirl for starting this off and to all those who were willing to share their less than stellar works. (Many are from awesome artists.) Some were early efforts; some used stunning (not in the good way) color choices; others had odd element placements; some showed poor (beginner) technique--there were many amusing combinations of ugliness. Certainly not all the cards included were ugly, in fact, there were quite a few cute ones. Unfortunately lots of links dont lead anywhere now.
I will try to include links to a few of the highlights, but many of the funniest things are found in the comments from the creators sharing their disliked cards, and the responses within the thread and posted directly to the galleries:
