The other day while I was on a thread about the corner rounder punches vs. slit punch for scalloped edges there was an ad for a punch for $4700!! I'm thinking it was a different kind of punch than we all use. LOL

humm....I never really paid attention to the ads here on splitcoast. Now you have me looking for them and I never really noticed them before. I guess I'm too busy looking through the gallery
just a bit of clarification if this feels "creepy" to you. the google ads will appear NOT based on who you are or what you're interested in, but they take into account the words that appear on site pages. contextual, is what they call them. and it's got a global element too. so it takes into account the whole site, and not necessarily just the current conversation.
so in other words it doesn't know about your posting habits individually, at least I think it doesn't! it should just be taking into account key words on the site and key words on particular pages. you got me wondering now though, I'll have to ask them about that :^)
I could go for Brad Pitt or a pool boy or even just a Cuban (just not Mark Cuban)
Anyway, I don't know if I am more freaked out by google knowing what I am doing or by knowing that Daven is watching us as we discuss searching for Brad Pitt and pool boys!

Hmmm...makes you wonder if Big Brother is watching. The ads I remember are for stamps, except right this minute there isn't an ad. I do remember a car add and thought that was odd.

This thread is very funny! Speaking of pool boys, mine should be leaving work any minute! I made a joke last summer about him (DH) being my pool boy and it went right over his head!

Am I just lucky or stupid? I've never had one single ad show up no matter what forum or page I'm on. I'm feeling left out!! Everyone talks about Banners and stuff and I've never seen one.
Now for the ad's ....I don't see any...Now what does that mean????

I have a g-mail account and it is alwasy interesting to see the side ads when I open up an e-mail since it gives you ads based on what is in the e-mail...and when I check my SPAM folder...I always get a new SPAM recipe....

this is just too funny! now I'm going to have something else to obsess over as I surf here on SCS - what ads am I seeing!
It's funny - my upline's Yahoo group name is the Smilemakers and whenever I go on our Yahoo site there are always tons of ads for dentists! It cracks me up!
I think that is why I don't see any ads. I have been looking since I posted earlier, but still do not see any! I don't know if I am missing something good or not!
