Default Poor Nice & Easy Notes

Okay, Okay, this is not my favorite stamp set, but I felt sorry for it. It seems to be on everyone's must go list. I challenged myself to come up with a nice (I hope) card or two using this set (images pending). I'd like to see this set to go out with bang not a whimper. Anybody else up to making some cards using this set?

I absolutely love this set! I think it is very versatile. I recently made a spinner card with the mouse as the spinner. I think it turned out wonderfully. I do not use the words so much, but I love the images. The mouse and the tulips are my favorites. Remember this has been the best seller since 1997 and who is to say that it isn't still very popular?

I agree, this poor set is getting bashed. I think those of us who have had it for years are a little sick of it. I still like it. I made this cool retro card with it recently just because it was getting bashed so much. I wanted to show that it is not dated.

The Stampin' Up! website lists it as one of their current best sellers, so there must be a lot of people who still like it. I have it, but rarely use it...not because I don't like it, but because I have sooo many sets that I just don't think to use it. It's still a great set for people to start with because it's definitely an all-occassion set.

I love Nice & Easy Notes! To tell you how long I have had it, mine is mounted on the black foam rubber!!! I still use it a lot as it seems to be "just the right one" for a happy, quick card.

Default poor nice and easy notes

this was the first stamp set I purchased from SU. I still use it for fast and easy cheery cards. I also recommed this to customers who are new to stamping, because this set gives you lots of options for different cards.

This set has ALWAYS been on my wish list, but I've never gotten around to buying it yet because there's always "something" higher on my priority list. . . .it is so cute though!

Oh, It is a perfect set for a beginner. It has pictures and words. I use this set, when I can't come up with something else to send someone, because it always seems to have the answer. Please tell me they aren't thinking of adding it to the discontinued list. Two of my friends, that I finally convinced to join me in stamping, I convince with this set. They bought it, it was so useful, and now they are stampers. More sets, more fun, and it was with this set they had their beginnings!

Hey, if everyone loves this set so much, you need to email SU! and let them know!!!!! If it has been discontinued this year, they can always "reinstate" it - this has happened before.

GO ILLINI!!!!!

Hey Illini, when was a set reinstated and how did that happen? I had a tiny thought that maybe Bold Shapes, last year's hostess set, was supposed to be in the catty because it goes perfectly with the new shape punches. Also, at the Founder's Circle, my upline told me that Shelli was surprised (appeared surprised) when they asked her why it didn't make the catalog.

I'm always so hungry for the scoop!

Two or three years ago, one of the frame sets was brought back, due to popular demand - I think it was Bold Frame(?) - not sure about the name. Also, Terrific Tulips was another one.

I'm with mamalanie--I've always found a set to buy instead of this one. But I've seen such cute cards made with it.

Kim - It is listed in the FAQ on the SU web site.
http://www.stampinup.com/web2001/faqs.asp

it says...
What is your most popular stamp product?

Currently, Simply Spring on page 52, Itty Bitty Backgrounds on page 174, and Watercolor Garden on page 136 of the 2004-2005 Idea Book & Catalog are the most popular. Other top sellers include Brushstroke Alphabet on page 196 and Nice & Easy Notes on page 68.

Well, if they are going to reinstate a set, I would like to see Tropical Blossoms come back instead of being replaced with cheap imitations. I was so mad when that was out of the new catalog. Would love to see it come back.

PS ~ that FAQ section is REALLY outdated. They need to update that.

Great set... great with watercolor pencils... great all around. Was the first "big" set I bought and haven't regretted it one bit.

I'll admit it is on my wish list. I'm hoping it is retired so then I can buy it off a demo friend who needs to get rid of it...

I got Nice and Easy Notes as one of my first sets and maybe used it 3 times! So I sold it last year and bought a set that I just love! Space is limited and I did what I had to do!

But I know a good friend of mine loves that set and makes a ton of cards with it! It is just not me! I guess!

Sorry!

I'm very new here and to stamping (this might be post #3). I got Nice N Easy Notes because it covered every occasion and I thought I'd get a lot of use out of it, and I have. I really like it.

Do you really think so? The entire FAQ references the 2004-05 catalog... :?
I see the reference to 2001, but I think that may be when they originally came out with the FAQ?
Just wondering what you're seeing that I'm not

Hi...

I have this set and it is sitting in a box waiting to be sold or traded. This was one of my first sets, and although extremely versatile, needs to find a new home, one where it will be loved and used.

PM me if there are any takers. I am putting together a wish list. Let's see what happens.

Thanks.

I sell this set often, mostly to new stampers. I tell my customers to mount the words seperate from the image. That way the tulips can be on more than just thank you cards. This will only work with four of the eight stamps as the others' words are placed too close to the image. Anyway, just another tip to make this all occasion set more versatile.

Default Poor nice & Easy notes

I wanted this set also. I am waiting to see the list of retired sets in May and if it isn't on the list I am definately going to get it as one of my free sets from Celebration. I also hope it doesn't go into retirement.
