Tigger (my 18 lb kitty and avatar) likes to be wherever I am, so normally she follows me around the house. If I'm stamping/scrapping/on the computer in the office, then she will eventually lay on the little bed I've made for her in the office, but every so often somes over to her her ears scratched. She has stopped jumping up on the desk. When I'm on the laptop, though that is another story, especially if I'm on the bed. Then she lays right next to me and always makes certain at least one paw is on the keyboard/glide pad. I never know where the cursor is going next...

My cat, Macey, likes to lay on my stampin' scrub or any paper she can find where she is most in the way. My dog, Lincoln, likes to sit at my feet and grrr softly until I stop to ask him what's wrong & he jumps in my lap & tries to climb up on the table.

This thread is so cute!! My little guy brings me toys and bangs against my leg with his nose until I throw them for him. I've also had to puppy-proof my room - nothing on the floor that will fit in his mouth. One of his biggest joys is to steal stuff and book off with it - usually under my bed where I can't reach him. Spools of ribbon, paper, pens, you name it.... I've learned not to leave drawers or purses open too. No matter how naughty though, I wouldn't trade him for the world!

I am loving this thread!! My dog likes to dig through my trashcan, get out the scrap paper, and tear it up too!!! He is always in my stamping room with me, either sitting directly on my lap or sleeping on my futon- he's one of the reasons I got a crop-a-dile, so I wouldn't wake him up and startle him, lol!! Needless to say, most all of my cards are made with a little extra love- because he always likes to sniff them and check them out, lol. I'm so glad that a lot of you have such cute stories and cute avatars!!!!

My stamp room is also a spare bedroom. My kitty, Mia, likes to come in, snoop through everything, and then she jumps up on the bed. She likes to burrow underneath the pillows on the bed and watches me from underneath all the pillows. It's very cute with just her little head sticking out but I always have to completely strip the bed and wash everything when we have guests come and spend the night because of all the cat hair!

My standard poodle lays at the bottom of the stairs and watches me and just sighs. She knows that there is no playing ball when I'm in my stamp room. Then my kid's cat, Buster..............if I go to work down there in my blue room, he just has to come with me. He really has something about that blue robe. He jumps at me from behind and tags me on either side with his paws like to say, "Hey! Pet me and quit cutting paper!" Fortunately, they don't try to make away with any of my stuff nor do they walk on my counters.

Shanon's dogs are sooooo cute. I loved the brown one the best when I was at her house.

Default Cats

I surf SCS on my wireless notebook while "watching TV". I have a Maine Coon cat - if you don't know anything about them they are a large breed cat. My female - Savannah - is a light weight at 15 pounds. Despite her size she insists on getting in my lap between me and the PC. In my stamping room, she has her own cat bed which she likes to lay. But when she feels like she's not getting enough attention, she jumps up in my lap and tries to lie there while I stamp! If I dare to take out the ribbon while she's around she jumps up and is ready for play time. She's a little spoiled, but I love her dearly.

Ann's poodle is AWESOME. I love her. Ann likes to hide the ball and that darn dog will find it now matter what. It is hilarious. Smart lil doggie!

I think my two Maine Coons want to be crafters. When I'm on SCS my girl will be on my lap. And when I'm in my stamp room, she'll try to steal my lap there too. But, often I try to get her to sit in a chair next to me. My little boy will lay on the table next to my project and watch. I have to be careful not to have scraps laying around, or they will chew on them. They feel the need to pick up after their mamma

My Coons are both 'light weights' too, at 16 pounds each. They are my kitty loves.

Holy Moly!!! You let them on the bed? I could never do that with my dogs. Too muddy around my house. The bed would be a mess in a day. My 130 lb shepherd mix is an outside dog only. Nothing inside for that muddy, shedding hunk!

We have a white Siberian Husky, she is only 6 months old, so she is still in the crazy puppy phase. Luna loves it when I am stamping in the dining room instead of my office, she has more room to circle me while running around during one of her crazy puppy trantrums before falling asleep. Kinda reminds me of my now 5 yr old when he was about 2, he would be full steam ahead running around like crazy, then 2 minutes later crashed somewhere asleep, and no one was able to get him up. My day dog (neighbor's dog I watch) Gracie, a yellow lab mix, loves to lay right under my feet so quiet and still, that sometimes I do not even remember that she is there and I accidentally step on her.

What sweet looking babies, I am guessing that a water bed is out of the question with them. I could imagine them jumping into bed with you and you go popping out and on to the floor. Not a fun way to wake up.

My Olde English Bulldogge, named Daisy, also chews and eats cardstock scraps! She is a big 'fraidy cat tho, because she barks at my eyelet setter! She HATES it (and so does my DH)! Another thing she barks at is my stampin cart... when I wheel it into the kitchen she barks at it. We got her because she is supposed to be ferocious. Yeah right!

Nope, no water bed. But here's a funny story:

We went to NYC last weekend and my MIL stayed here to take care of the boys and the dogs. When there is one person in the bed, the dogs think that the other 1/2 is theirs. So they joined her in bed. (there's no closing the door, they get upset and eat things like books, cell phone chargers, etc.)
She rolled over in the night and wondered "Why is Tommy (her DBF) all wet??" She was nose to nose with my oldest Mastiff (Phoebe) who weighs almost 200lbs, and she was snoring. My MIL screamed, leaped up, tripped on the edge of the bed, and landed on her backside in the middle of the floor. My 4 YO came in saying "granny someone's screaming outside my window! Why are you on the floor?" Don't think she'll be house/dog/baby sitting any time soon...

My cat does the same thing but only in a TAC box...

Boxes were his very fist toy to play in when he was younger.

Sarge loves to come down in my stamping area and walk on my work.. he checks out everything that I am doing, Wants to check out the windows & checks out the trash can for un-wanted rubber pieces..

Which I find all over the house later in the day.

We have 2 cats, Tingha and Tucker. Tucker will happily sit on his bed in my craft room just keeping me company. But when we first got him he was so excited and curious that he had to investigate every inch of the house. I was varnishing a plant pot I'd painted and he jumped up on one of my shelves and his swishy tail knocked over the open bottle of gloss varnish. It was a terrible mess! It ran all down the wall and got in the electric plug socket and all over loads of things. Not one BIT on Tucker though!

Tingha is such a fussy boy - he wants a lot of attention and loves having his tummy rubbed. So he will just jump up on my desk whenever he wants some fuss and anything in his way just gets pushed away or knocked off!

I made a card for a friend who was moving to a new home. I made the card look like a window at the front of the house so there was acetate for the window glass and wallpaper behind and items stuck behind the window. It took me ages and I was pleased with the result. I made it in plenty of time and just got it out on my desk to sign it - Tingha came in with the blackest, muddiest paws and walked all over it! Totally unrescuable so had to start again from scratch.

As others have said though - wouldn't be without my boys, I love them dearly!

You can see Tingha in my avatar, but I did want to upload a thumbnail of both my boys but it said I needed to manually resize the pic - and I haven't got a clue how I do that!

My cat Sadie doesn't get into my supplies - well, she hasn't since barfed up a ribbon scrap early on in her life with us. Now, she just insists on sitting in my chair. If I stand up to grab supplies, I'd better check the seat before I sit back down or I might have a softer and livelier landing than expected! I caught her in mid-yawn in this pic . . .

I got some gorgeous Bazzill Bling cardstock on Thursday. The postie has just been and delivered the Bazzill Bling Blossoms in the matching colour. So off I went to make a card. I had my 12"x12" piece of Bling CS out ready to be cut, Tingha jumps up on the desk and lands right on it, making a big crease. When I yelped in protest he panicked and jumped off - leaving claw marks in the CS! * sigh *

Luckily, I bought more than one sheet!

Aren't Maine Coons just the sweetest cats you ever known? In addition to Savannah, I have a male Maine Coon, Tigger, who is around 17 pounds. He's chosen my DH as his human tho.

Below is Digit. He is one of 3 cats and is the youngest and the total baby of the family. I think he was once a dog, possibly a black lab, he follows me everywhere and talks and talks and talks. His involvement when I'm stamping is to jump up onto the captain's chair and lay down behind me. I'm a big girl so his 20lb. body lays on my lower back and he goes to sleep. If I don't let him do this his paws are all over my table grabbing whatever he can to pull onto the floor. If you look close he has thumbs, hence Digit being his name. But I wouldn't have it any other way....

My little sweetie sniffs a little and then lies down right next to me. He is such a little lover.

What a fun thread! My Avatar is my "boy" Bud and he joins me only if DH is at work. On a normal evening Bud will come into the computer room just to check on me and see if maybe I will play for a minute or rub his Butt. (His favorite!) Of course, I also get the cold nose under the elbow thing just to get my attention. Yes, he's 80 lbs of Love!

Default You can stamp without Pets?

I didn't know you could stamp or create without pets. My 3.5 lb min-pin is always on my lap whether I am on the computor or stamping. She is my constant companion and inspiration. She has been with me through cancer surgery and chemo. Now she is my stampin buddy since I joined SU. My cat is also with me most times curled up in a corner of my stampin' table waiting for a little attention. I guess just didn't know you could stamp without pets Sandy
