Wink Pets and stamping....what do yours do..

As I'm sitting here looking at SCS, my dog often wants to hop up on my lap and sit with me as I type and look around, and he even likes to sit on my lap while I stamp and scrapbook, and I was just wondering what your pets did while you're on here and stamping.....

<---- This "not so little" girl will climb up on the sofa next to me and push her nose up under my arm (I'm on a laptop) trying to get my attention. She will rest her head on my keyboard, put her paw on my hand ... she does it all the time - prolly 'cause it works! She's so spoiled ... I just love her!

My dog lays at my feet and I'm in a office chair with wheels. I've run over his ear a few times. The cat gets jealous and runs across my ink pads, half done cards that are drying with stickles, and then scorches out over my keyboard. Hair everywhere and I have a lint catcher that I have to run over my stamp pad scrubber. Pain in the butt, and it's always an adventure stamping with the animals..

Usually my pups are either sitting in my lap or jumping on me for attention (they are only 4 mo. old) or they will play with my feet and try to pull my socks off! My parakeets chirp, chirp, chirp all day long and all night long until I go to sleep (they are really noisy!) and my parrot just talks to himself all day long! Needless to say, I have a very noisy house!

Sounds exactly like my Abby...must be a golden thing! If I'm upstairs in my office, she's fond of lying right behind my chair with either her paw or her nose right behind the roller of the chair so I can't move an inch.

Well... the "boys" differ in opinion about my stamping. OD, the big brother and all black, will put his paws up and claw at my jeans occasionally. Rudy, on the other hand, will pass through the iron railing separating the kitchen and the lower level family/stamping room, walk across my printer, across a small piece of my lateral file cabinet, step up onto my stamping table and then RUN across my project and back through the small window I was forced to make to allow him to pass back through the iron railing after tracking ink across ever scrap of paper.

I've included a picture of the "Boys."

Mine like to steal my scraps out of the garbage and then I find bits of paper chewed up here and there in the living room.

I have a toy poodle and a toy fox terrier, and SIX cats.

I do not know where to begin.

The Cats: They meow, they sit on my feet, they climb in my lap, they walk across my table, they get into any open box, they open any closed box, they stroll right across the keyboard, they sit on top of the computer, they sit on top of the printer to attack any paper coming out.

The Dogs: Frequently bark to tattle on the cats.

A friend has dogs with gassy problems. She had to put them both out on the patio while we stamped at her house. None of us could stand the aroma.

I have 3 dogs that pretty much leave me only when I am stamping. If I have friends over to stamp though, Chuy (the smallest dog) tries to go through their purses while they are distracted by stamping.
If I am surfing the net, I often have one of my pet cockatiels on my shoulder - Sylvester. Sylvester is very insistent and loves to have the top of his head scratched. If I'm not scratching his head, he pecks my lower lip and then runs back to his spot on my shoulder. That is why I sometimes can't leave comments - it is hard to type with one hand.

My mini dachshund pulls my scraps out of the trashcan or from the floor and runs off with them. She likes to chew on them and occasionally will eat them. I have found pieces of my cardstock outside in the yard !!

Well, isn't this a cute thread! It is an adventure at my house as well, 4 cats, and 2 border collies. Molly, the brown Border sits literally under my chair, so I constantly seem to be pulling chunks of fur out of her on accident, she never learns; always sits under the rollers. Bailey, my purebred, sits on the floor and begs for treats since my scrap room is where the treats are located. In my tiny cramped space, I have Opal who sits in the kitty bed on top of my desk, Jedi, sits on the bed in front of the window in my Paper Taker, Onyx likes to sit on top of my Organizational unit (and he likes to steal my sponges and carry them by the water dish, naughty kitty!), and Gizmo likes to be in one of two places. 1. Either literally laying on top of my work space, or 2. in the chair that I keep in my crowded scrap room, so all 4 kitties can keep me company!Oh, they are all so cute! If I snack in my scrap room, Molly waits for us to go to bed and then raids the garbage can and makes me angry. But, I love them all anyways!

I have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Sophie is the oldest and is very good when I go down to stamp. She would usually just lay in her bed at my feet. Then we got her little sister Gracie. Now they stay upstairs with "Daddy" while "mommy" goes downstairs to play.

I too have a 90 pound "lap" dog. He's a black lab but loves to lay on my feet while I'm on the computer and scrapping. It's nice because I never wear socks and he keeps my little piggies warm. One time though, I left the room to get ds (he was a little baby at the time) out of the crib and feed him, etc. and I apparentally left my bone folder hanging over the edge of the table and Max "the wonderdog" ate it!!! So watch out for your dogs and bone folders.

I pull out my craft table since I don't have a set space and before I can get back with supplies my cat Tigger is laying out across the table daring me to move her from her spot... I seem to have to try and work around her everytime I stamp. Doesn't she look pleasant to move....

My older cat has to be in my bedroom when I'm stamping (my desk is in the corner of the bedroom. If the door is closed on her she freaks out pawing and meowing at the door. She lays on the edge of the bed closest to me. When the ribbon comes out she jumps down to the ground and stares up at it. She doesn't try to get it, just stares at it. Every now and again she jumps on to my lap and sits toward the desk and just stares at what I'm doing. It's really funny.... she will sit there for like ten minutes or so, she doesn't get in the way or anything unless I need to move to get something. Sometimes she will put her paw up at the card I'm trying to make, it's kind of cute, almost like she's trying to help. LOL... that's why I call her my "stamping kitty!"

Emmie used to sit under my computer desk, but i rolled over her ear or tail so many times  she now watches me from a safe distance, she lays on the couch in the living room where she can still see me. She used to sit under my crafting table, but I always kick her in the nose...lol  so she moved over to the other side of the table (we have two foldout tables side by side one for me one for him) and when she moved over to the other side Jason started kicking her in the face  as well, so now she sits on the couch down there where she can still see me. :p

My dog keeps my feet warm! He is too big to sit on my lap, although he tries if I sit on the floor. Poor guy. But he loves to go under my desk (big office desk) and he will lay down with his head out the side by my chair and his body usually is on my feet. It works nice for me, my feet are always cold!

I no longer let my cats in the room when I stamp. Mozart was always okay, but his brother, Seurat, was a troublemaker. He tried to eat some glitter one day and knocked the container on the carpet. Not only did I have glitter all over the place, Seurat had glitter all over himself for several days. He looked so ridiculous that I just couldn't get mad, but from that point on they were not allowed in the room. To get back at me, Seurat now tries to eat my plants and then, of course, he throws up all over the carpet. He will look me directly in the eye when he knocks things off shelves or does things he knows he's not supposed to do. It's one of those cases where I just can't win....

Default I have the funniest cats

Miss Gray likes to either lay across the back of my desk chair (that narrow spot cannot be comfortable) or she wants me to hold her on my chest as she rests her chin and paws on my shoulder. Frances is content to just lie beside my chair. JB....well, he is the rambunctious one and gets into everything like a little two year old. He drags out paper, and always goes for the expensive stuff...never the GP from Walmart. He has chewed the corners of envelopes, chewed up pictures, chewed on cards that I had ready to mail. He chews the rubber off the block. I finally learned to put my stamps away after I use them and not leave them lying around. I even caught the little rascal carrying off my sizzlets. He gets up on my desk at night and gets pens and pencils out of the holder. I found the memory card for my camera in the hallway one morning. Thank goodness it was in its case and he couldn't get it open. He has learned to open the medicine cabinet and drag stuff out. I never thought I would have to child proof my home from a CAT. He keeps me on my toes for sure. But I love them all three to pieces and wouldn't take a million bucks for any of them.

My blackmouth cur Cleo is usually content to just nap on the floor behind my desk, or destroy whatever bone or cardboard paper towel tube she's currently working on. I was gone for a couple of weeks recently, and ever since then she's been so attached. This week, she keeps insisting on climbing over the side of my chair and laying across my lap. She's 45 pounds--no lap dog!

Well, with 4 miniature dachshunds AND 4 cats, stamping time can get interesting at my house! One of the doxies is content to lay by my chair, one of them wants to be held most of the time I am sitting, one of them wants her ears scratched, and the other thinks that since I am sitting down I am doing it just so I keep throwing his ball for him to chase! Meanwhile, the cats are trying to get in the cupboards, shelve and any drawer I have opened, walking on my projects and/or computer and one of them tries to climb into the printer whenever I print something... I wouldn't trade any of them for anything though!

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. My lab-boxer mix likes to nudge my elbow while I am online the poms just lay at my feet. The cats want to lay on the keyboard.
Now for the craft room.(NO DOGS ALLOWED) The little dogs stay out my big dog sneaks in every chance he gets. The cats are allowed in as long as they behave themselves. Usually they do!

Cute topic...

I have one loveable Golden Retriever, she is very careful about where she steps when she comes into my stamping area (a.k.a dining room). She always lies on the floor under the table, wherever there is enough room for her to curl up.

My little Sheltie likes to lie right down @ my feet. Sometimes on TOP of them, which makes it difficult to get up and down to get more supplies, etc. But I love her, and she just gets up and then resettles with me and I like that she loves me so much that she wants to share my hobby! Hee, hee!
