I understand! I created a Word document to keep track of mine so I could clean out my inbox. Well, I do still have a lot of messages saved, but I really like the Word document for keeping track of things. Plus, it is easier for me to find things in that document versus going through old PMs.
Off to do the same thing now. Why I've been doing this the hard way all these years is a mystery. Thanks for the idea!

I have the same issue. Sometimes, I do the same thing the same way for a long time until I have what my husband calls a blinding flash of the obvious and see there is a much better way.
What I need to figure out is a better way to deal with my stamp organization, specifically sentiments. It's not that I have a huge collection of stamps, but I do tend to keep sets together, and I don't have a good way of keeping track of what sentiments are in what sets. Some catalog everything in a spreadsheet program which sounds like a great idea except I would need to learn the program first, and if I have some free time I would rather craft than learn the depths of a new program. I would love to learn the program, but I don't have the time to devote to it and do any crafting.
How do you all organize your stamps? Especially sentiments?
I keep my stamp sets together, so I often forget about the sentiments that are in other sets. I’ve been thinking about making a sentiment notebook - just stamping the sentiments on paper and noting the name of the stamp set, manufacturer and category where I have it stored. I think I’m secretly hoping the stamping fairies will show up one night and do this for me 🤣🤣

Yeah, me too. So far though, no stamping fairies have taken on the job, darn it!
Karen
If the stamping fairies show up and create magic rather than havoc, please let me know and I will send you my address so hopefully they can come here, too.
Yes, add my name to the list of stops for the stamping fairies--although I might need them for more than one night.
What I want to know is if anyone else seems to spend more time organizing than actually creating at times? Sheesh...I thought I'd have more time to craft after I retired but it seems like I just have more time to organize and clean my craft area instead.

I could use a fairy for a lot of things! I do spend time organizing. Yesterday, I was trying to read my Gina K Designs ink cube colors, as I forgot the exact color name, and they were so worn that they can no longer be read. I pulled out my label maker and added color labels to each cube. Now, I can read them and my daughter can use them if need be. I would love to reorganize my craft room as well as other places in my house. There simply is not enough energy to handle it all.

I kind of wondered about that myself. Not that I'm retired yet, but it seems that I always have to get my desk/table cleaned up and organized so I can use it, but then I don't have time.

A couple years back (preCOVID and retirement) I started designating the 10th of each month as clean up day I'd pull out mydsp scraps and strips and make 4 or 5 cards-sometimes more, then toss anything leftover (unless it was an especially favorite scrap). At the same time, I tried to tackle one area, setting my timer for 30-45 minutes. Sorting ribbon, grouping card ideas together, cleaning stamps that needed it. Like the rest of my house, it was never all clean organized at once, but it made it easier when I needed to jump in and make a card on short notice. **And I acknowledge this may not work for everyone***
I do the job desert deb described while watching TV with hubby at night. I'm not crazy about TV except for a few shows, so I join him to spend time with him. If I have no projects (Ha!) I'll fold laundry, iron or write letters. However, the sorting, organizing and clean up jobs seem endless. That being said, I really enjoy organizing or reorganizing. It inspires me and then I have an clean, straightened- up place to work.
I don't have a pic right now, but I have a HUGE roll of Purple and White twine if anyone would like some yards of it?
Adding pic
card of 15yds (measures by arms lengths;) )
See how mich left if any one else interested.
Edited: All Taken, thanks!
Here are some Victorian stickers that I have to offer. There are 2 sets of the Christmas stickers, and one of the floral. These are on nice heavy paper with a linen finish.
US only please, thanks. PM if interested.

I don't know if anyone uses brass stencils, but here are a couple that are up for grabs. Sorry for the poor photo but I got glare whether I took them out of the package or not, so I left them in the package for the photo.
PM if interested, US only please.

I kind of like sorting and reorganizing too, as long as I don't have a deadline. It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something, even if I'm just basically moving things around. By the way, I wanted to thank you again for those nested die PIFs that you sent me some time back. I have been using the dies a LOT, and think of you everytime I do. I love having different options, besides circles and rectangles.

Hi Louise,
Thank you so much for the stamps!! They arrived in the mail today and were a nice surprise. I've been ordering birthday gifts for family online and thought it was another shipment for someone else. What fun to find that it was for me. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your grandkids.
Karen
Thank you! I am very happy to have found this forum that allows me to be able to do this. ... and believe me, I do feel the appreciation. It's what keeps me coming back.
Hi Lercy,
Thank you so much for the stencils that arrived a few days ago. I can't wait to use that one with the school of fish! I have quite a few undersea stamps and dies that would work so well with this one in particular. I'm kinda loving my stencils lately, even though I only do ink blending with them, and nothing fancy. One of these days I may even try embossing paste, haha! Watch out!

Your thank you made my day. So nice to know someone is giving them some love. Enjoy!!!
I have some things to offer, but I would like to explain a bit. I am in the process of making changes in my cardmaking style and moving into more clean, simple and minimalist style. This involves reducing my stamps and supplies. I will share more of that story as time goes on.
I have participated in SU paper shares for several years although I am not a big user of DSP. I have lots of these shares that either 1) I made a card or two or 2) it wasn't my style or 3) I didn't like the colors. I am offering these. I have listed it by the name of dsp and attached a link so you can see the patterns and card ideas. Some of these have more 6x6 cut sheets of paper than others, but all have enough to make several more cards. I also enclosed a few A2 card bases and some ribbon since I am also trying to reduce my stash of these items as well.

Glad you liked them and that they went to a good home.

Hi Stamp and Weave,
My twine and stamps came today and I'm looking forward to use them all. Especially loving the yellow and green twine for summer projects and I use the red and white for many of my Christmas cards. Thank you so much!!

So thankful for all of you who share and swap with me! I have been working on Christmas cards, and the papers and things you have shared have worked so great with what I have in my stash to get them made. In fact, the papers and other items have been just what I needed! I also used the Abstract Triangles stamp to make some really neat watercolor backgrounds. I have really enjoyed working on these cards; it has been great therapy for me! Thank you all so much!

Happy Wednesday!... This post is for those who watercolor and may just like to try a different brush. I have some Silver Black Velvet Watercolor Brushes that I have used over time thinking they would grow on me, because so many people love them. Unfortunately, they haven't grown on me, and I have other brushes I gravitate towards. That's the thing with brushes, markers, paints, papers, etc. There's no way of knowing if we are a good fit until we try. When the supplies work, it's magic -- when they don't, it's just a lot of regret when looking at them. I'm done with regret, so if you are interested, PM me and let me know what size brush(s) you are interested in (if you know) -- or we can figure it out together. Thank you!
ALL BRUSHES HAVE BEEN SPOKEN FOR. Thank you ladies!

Wow Lercy,
I am in awe of your identification skills when it came to this embossing folder. I got this one today and just couldn't see how the pattern matches the online depiction of the TH Texture Fades Damask folder. Embossed two different colors of card stock and still couldn't see the pattern matching. It wasn't until I used ink on the folder and brought the pattern out with color that I saw it. As I said, I am in AWE!

I still have the Baby white rub-ons, and I also have some more stars available if anyone wants some.
Linda, I am so glad you will be able to use the flowers!

Thank you, Karen. Yes, I surprise a lot of people -- even myself at times. I love puzzles and optical illusions -- I find them very calming.
... I have been working on Christmas cards... I have really enjoyed working on these cards...
Oh my gosh! I love Autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and every day up to December 25, but I dread making Christmas cards. Last year I skipped them and made New Years cards. I'll probably go the same route this year. I don't have a whole lot of Christmas items, but I'm sure I will feel so much less pressure and stress if I release about 95% of it. I'll try to fight the procrastination of this over the weekend. My admiration goes out to all of you who work on Christmas cards.
