paisley print with chalk ink

sooooooo - can some kind soul give me a hint (or TWO) on what is involved in inking the paisley background stamp with chalk ink as opposed to the classic ink. do you use a brayer? doesnt the chalky ink get into the little grooves? how do you keep from loading too much chalk on the stamp??? thanks for any input you can provide. i have seen several gorgeous cards on coastal using the chalk pads with the paisley - it gives the paisley such a rich look!!!

I think you can just ink it directly (without a brayer). The little chalk points come out of that round holder.

As for cleaning it, I'd clean it the same way I clean my stamps after using craft ink. Give it a good scrub with a baby wipe. Sometimes I even run it under the water faucet.

good tip on the chalk petal points. i'll bet they would look great. i have posted another question about using the craft inks with the paisley background. perhaps you could help me with that one also? thanks so much. have had little to no experience using the craft pads. i only have vanilla and white. thanks!!!!

I found that using a large background stamp, such as Paisley inks up much better with the Chalk Inks. The Classic pads tend to dip in the center, making even inking difficult. The Chalk Inks give vivid, even coverage! Just take out that little petal of ink and tap right onto the stamp.
