Does anyone have an idea what the new Ranger Oxide ink color will be? I'm hoping for an actual nice green...nothing bold or strong. I need to stamp leaves!
I was on the fence for the longest time over campfire ( I finally caved on it) but, I don't pre order them either. and its mostly because, there is a slight chance I will forget I ordered it and then order another one when they really start shipping. just because that is the reveal day, it seems to me it still takes a while for them to ship so. I can wait.
But, I tend to buy every shade of green so, if that happens I am sure I will get one.
I'm guessing there might be a yellow or purple color this time. I pre-ordered mine, lately the new colors have been ready to ship close to announcement day, 7/17 this time.
I have to say I'm underwhelmed by this new color. Jennifer McGuire's latest video does a good comparison of it with other Distress blue colors and I just don't think it's worth making room for. Anybody else have an opinion?

I was peeking in to see what the new color was. It is pretty but I don't think I will buy it. I loved Patina & Flamingo but this one is not one of my go to colors I reach for. I do think it would make beautiful shading for night skies & water effects. If I bought it I could see myself using it more in my coloring books than stamping. I know in my coloring book groups/forums DI's are huge now so they might be tailoring colors for a new group of users. This is in no way a critique. This is a unicorn wish list. When Ranger & Tim announced new colors I was hoping they would go for a rainbow spectrum like red, orange, green, etc.. Then throw in the neutrals. Now we have two new blues. They are beautiful blues but I wish we had a different color than blue since last release was blue. As I said I am not critiquing, it's just a wish list.I am being cheeky critiquing on this and it is supposed to be cheeky fun. I don't think that blue looks like a prize ribbon, lol.
I was shocked to see another blue in the collection and like others was hoping for a purple, yellow, or maybe even a soft gray. For me, this one is too similar to Blueprint Sketch to jump right on it. But maybe when he releases the next set of minis with all the new colors, I’ll snag it.
I agree that another blue is rather a disappointment. It looks so similar to Blueprint Sketch that I'm not sure why they felt a need for this one. Jennifer McGuire's video was great for showing all the different blues and how they compare. I love blue inks, and am often frustrated when I can't find just the right shade of blue but I thought that Ranger would come out with a shade that filled in gaps in the current line of Distress inks.
Still, sure seems like there are lots more unique colors out there than something this similar to existing Distress inks.
Thank you for that pic. It is pretty but it feels like what would happen if the other two blues had a baby. Too close for me. Esp if a person is a have it all type for all the different products like the spray etc.
I agree. We need more yellows and purples. I think the problem is these are supposed to be distressed colors so you are not going to see bolds like royal purple etc.
