Default Needed - a good sunflower stamp

MY daughter is getting married and her flower theme, colore scheme is sunflowers. I need to make save the date cards and am looking for a good sunflower stamp. I have checked Hobby Lobby and a store called Memories in Bloom in Clarksville. Any ideas? Help please.

Smile Sunflower stamp

The last time I was at Big Lots believe it or not they had a great Sunflower stamp. I also saw one at Michael's just today. I think it is by Delta Stamps. Hope they still have it for you to see.

Cornish Heritage Farms has some awesome sunflower stamps that I think would work wonderfully on a save the date card! They have great service and terrific quality stamps.

Inkadinkadoo has a pretty sunflower stamp. You can see it in my small
gallery if you like. Also, HM Stamps has sunflower stamps under Great
Impressions.

Check out The Angel Company - they have a great one in the current catalog. If you need a demo, I can suggest one in the Nashville area.

I too love sunflowers (except the smell LOL). My suggestion is to do a search in the gallery for "sunflower" to find a few images you like. Most of the time, the stamp info can be found with the photo but you can always send the poster a PM asking for the help in ID'ing the stamp.

In addition to some retired SU sets (including the flower/wreath in Sketch It), I own several individual sunflower images made by Darcie's, Rubber Stampede, Stampcraft, Posh Impressions/All night Media, and Anita's.

I am sure you will find lots of helpful info here on SCS, esp. once we know the type of sunflower image you want to find.

Congratulations on the wonderful news and ...

Happy Crafting!

Try River City Rubberworks in Wichita, KS. Just search "sunflowers" - they have a ton! Sorry - it won't let me add a URL!

Well ... I searched the SCS gallery and got 300 hits! I was even pasting some links and my cat rolled over and poof ... my message disappeared into cyber space.

I still have the gallery open in another window so I'll try to find some of the links again ...

Votive Holder:
Sunflower Votive Holder by bensarmom at Splitcoaststampers

And, back in Feb. 2007, stamparue did some wedding invitations, etc which i can't link to because the gallery is slower than molasses at the moment.

Hope these ideas help and that you'll share what you make with us.

Default Sunflowers

Lockhart stamps has a beautiful watering can filled with sunflowers. There is also a sunflower stamp made by Holly Berry. It's about 4.5" tall, but you could easily use only the top portion. This sunflower is exquisite with lots of petals. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Since you probably are doing a large number of these, you might want a 2 step set so you don't have to watercolor. There is a great retired Stampin' Up set, Serene Sunflowers. It has two stamps for the petals to stamp lght and dark, and a stamp for the center. There are 3 leaf shapes and a stem. I see it has gone for anywhere from $14 - $25 plus shipping on ebay. But you probably could get one here on SCS.

A save the date stamp is just a word stamp that asks you to save a particular date.........for instance the wedding date.........this is usually sent prior to the invitations.

Another idea if you dont find a stamp you like is to use the SU scalloped circle punch on a goldish paper.........snip in between the scallops partway to the center. Then use a large circle stamp on brown paper for the centers.

Default Sunflowers

I was married nov 2004 and my scheme was sunflowers too, my favorite flower. I live in Clarksville, TN too. There is a great new place in Clarksville called SCRAPPIN EVER AFTER and the people there are really nice. They just opened so they are getting started. I own the sunflower garden stamp set from Close to my heart. It is one of the 2 step process and I like it but it may be big for what your wanting to do. I'm excited to check out all the other sunflower stamps mentioned as I love them. My boquent was red roses and sunflowers and it was perfect for a fall wedding in tn!

I love the sunflower stamp by PEDDLER'S PACK. It's a large stamp with dimensions of 4 3/4 " wide and 3 3/4" deep.

Hi, I actually live in Clarksville and have a friend who sells TAC stamps. I can let her know if you want to get the stamp someone mentioned locally. Have you been out toward Elkton where there is a big sunflower field? I'm taking the grandkids out there the next few days and will need a sunflower stamp too! I wish SU had one so I could buy it from myself :~)
