On the Bella site Em suggests using double sided tape. This is what I am going to do. I am waiting patiently, yeah-thats it-um, patiently.

Ah - great tip - thank you.

So . . . what could I use if I didn't have acrylic blocks?? Maybe rob my children of their toy wooden blocks - maybe just one??

Stick the rubber die onto the index sticker on the block on one of your mounted stamps. The stamp die and tape will peel of that sticker very easily.

(That is, assuming you have a few wood-mounted stamps lying around your craft room. ;))

She's located near Toronto, Ontario (Canada). You might have yours by the end of the week?? I can't say for sure as I'm in Canada too and postal times can vary quite a bit!!

The same double sided tape that use to mount my pictures in my scrapbook pages? Do you take the tape off each time so it is a one time use? If not, does the tape last and not stick to where you store it in the meantime?

I think it depends on the mail. The first couple of times I ordered I got my stamps within the week. I ordered my stamps on 2-21 so I just might get them tomorrow.

That is what I was assuming, but you know what they say about "assuming"!
Hopefully someone will confirm for us -- This is my first adventure into the world of unmounted stamps so I'm pretty clueless!

I do think though, that I possibly have some wooden blocks floating around my craft room though!! Just a few . . . .

I don't have any unmounted stamps either, but do want to join the world of Bellas...they are so darn cute. So, I don't understand...is there foam attached to the rubber? If not, you just adhere them to a hard surface with some kind of temporary adhesive and stamp? Please excuse my "inexperience" with this product and provide a complete explanation. ;-)

TIA!

Yup same stuff. I was re-using it several times till it wasn't sticky anymore (well over a dozen times) then I'd peel it off the block and put on a couple pieces of fresh tape.

Oh and I'd always store it tape side UP so that it wouldn't stick to anything.

They are deeply etched rubber with no foam backing. I use double sideded tape on an acrylic block and just the rubbah. They stamp beautifully.

That is the answer I was waiting for. So interesting!! Thanks Amy. The only thing I don't love about that is having unmounted rubber laying all over the place face up. The whole point of it seems to be so you can store it away somewhere to save space. I don't have any counter space to leave single rubber laying around but it is no big deal at all to put fresh tape on each time. Love this site.

When I get my bellas..hopefully soon(they shipped today)..I'm going to permantly mount them on wood blocks that my husband is making for me. I'm not sure where I'm going to find the foam though. I know they make double sided sticky foam.

I have been using plain old scotch double sided tape on an acrylic block and it has worked great. AMYR has a great tutorial in her blog (with pictures) about this very thing. Check for the link in her post above.

Well they actually come in little baggies along w/ a (PINK ;)) piece of paper w/ the image on it - for right now I keep them in those baggies and have them in a little basket on my desk - and since I only have like 8 Bellas  it's an easy storage solution. When I have MORE ;) I'll have to either get a bigger basket or come up w/ another idea!!
Emily HAS said that she's in the process of getting/making something to store the stamps in and will be selling it on her site - we'll just have to wait and see what it is!!

I just ordered cling foam from here. It was cheap--something like $2.50 a sheet. I'm anxious to get it to see how it works. They may have the double sided foam so you can mount yours on the wood.

I use Scotch brand double-sided tape; same difference I think except the Scotch stuff isn't acid-free. To re-use the tape on the rubber a few times, just store it stuck to a piece of waxed paper, CD case, the outside of a page protector with a sheet of CS in it, or the package your Bella came in if it came with a piece of CS wrapped in a clear snug-fitting baggie, a clear envie from SU with a card-front-sized piece of CS in it, etc. If for some reason your tape and storage medium of choice perform differently from mine and it is harder to get the rubber die unstuck from where you put it, just stuck and unstick the tape to your pants or back of your hand once or twice, depending if you want some lint or some dead skin stuck to the back of your stamp -- the choice is yours!
